Here is the email ABD sent out this morning - note there is no mention of a refund. So I do believe they are wanting folks to commit to a future trip. I will wait for this to be cancelled and get a full refund. 07/28/2020 Dear XXX, All of us at Adventures by Disney hope you are staying...

Cruise and Theme Park Operational Updates due to Coronavirus

While I generally agree with you there will be many more people going when all annual pass holders are allowed in the parks. There are several AP classifications that are currently blacked out until August 7 (I think that is the date). Many of us in FL have seasonal passes.

SoCal ABD Backstage Magic Oct 24th 2021

MOG is Mickey's of Glendale - its a store to buy all kinds of special Disney items that are not available to the public. If you book pre or post nights you stay in the same room. We did one pre night in LA at the Lowes Hotel. As a side note, when you book pre and post nights thru an agent...

When do you realistically think ABD will start operating again?

I am in a similar situation to you but with a Backstage Magic trip in late Oct. I am going to play chicken with ABD. I do not like they way they are treating us with either PIF (and gamble) or move monies to a future date. Many of us simply cannot move or commit to future travel for a variety...

When do you realistically think ABD will start operating again?

I think ABD will have to start off with significantly smaller groups. These are not inexpensive trips and expectations are high. I really dont think they will have any international trips until (at least) this time next year. For domestic trips, maybe next spring. The experts are saying...

SoCal ABD Backstage Magic Oct 24th 2021

This is an awesome trip - my only concern about booking anything at this time is COVID related. I would wait until there have been some trips and read the trip reports. That said - it is awesome. Depending on where you are traveling from, you might want to get there (Hollywood) a day...

Cruise and Theme Park Operational Updates due to Coronavirus

I work in a profession that deals with analyzing numbers and we have a saying that "liars figure and figures lie". NO disrespect to anyone but there are many ways to analyze these numbers. Here is my concern - with a current positivity rate of 14% - how will we know which 14% of CMs are...

Cruise and Theme Park Operational Updates due to Coronavirus

Tomorrow's numbers will be significantly lower since many testing facilities are closed for the holiday. Happy 4th everyone!!!

We did not have any issues with capacity or anything - all was great.

Vero or Hilton Head - Will You Be There?

I don't think the resort was as full as it could be - we checked in at 10am and our room was ready :-) There was plenty of spacing at the pool too. The staff was awesome - they are one of the best groups in all of Disney.

    Travel Changes?

I would try the credit card route first but if that doesn't count call your congressman or Senator. They are currently working on legislation for mandatory cash refunds (no future credits) for airlines. This will apply to domestic carriers but they may have other options too. Good luck!!!

Very sad. Just cancelled our Dec trip.

I totally agree with you and have made the same decision to cancel all WDW trips for awhile. The current Disney experience just isn't worth the cost.

Anyone decide to pack it in and cancel trip later this year?

I am fortunate to have about 600 DVC points and usually go 2-3 times a month - we live about an hour from WDW. Just cancelled 2 July trips, 3 August trips, and 5 Sept trips (bday month). Not going to use points for watered down experiences. Will wait to see how the parks are if they open...

Cruise and Theme Park Operational Updates due to Coronavirus

As a Disney shareholder I am not concerned. The virus will be with us until there is a widely available vaccine which is estimated to be mid to late 2021. After a vaccine Disney will recover quickly as long as they dont do anything irresponsible during the interim. The risk of going to...

Cruise and Theme Park Operational Updates due to Coronavirus

Totally agree with you - and would like to know if they notified Disney or if their state's contract tracer contacted Disney to notify others of the potential risk.

Cruise and Theme Park Operational Updates due to Coronavirus

Here are a few thoughts - you may want to see if there are any quarantine restrictions from your home state. Florida has some depending on where you are coming from. I am a local and not concerned about safety at Disney - I am significantly more concerned about what the experience will be...

    DREAMS/DIS Exclusive BSM 10/25 -10/30/20 SOLD OUT!

I have been on one ABD and the second one is scheduled for October. My experience was overall outstanding (hope you read my trip report) but there was some disappointment with the food options at Carthay and Steakhouse 55. We were not able to order their famous steaks and other menu items even...
