Renting a Camper near Ft Wilderness

Is there a way to rent a camper nearby, have it towed to Ft Wilderness and set up, and then removed after the vacation is over? I have friends who do this in the Myrtle Beach area and it works for them well.

    Piecing together a trip

I have a bunch of points to use (261 in June). I know I can't get a reservation at BW but we would be okay moving among any of the resorts. We're flexible and it's just DW and me. We're willing to use points for 1BR too. Has anyone had experience doing this? If so, how did it turn out?

Thoughts from a 20 Year DVC Member

Disney has changed, and so have I. I freely admit my part in the process. Studios was my favorite park after it first opened. That was before Sunset Blvd was even opened. It's no longer recognizable from those years. My kids would spend a lot of time in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area...

My Slow Divorce from Walt Disney World

We're selling our DVC points. We've owned since 2003. No regrets. We can still go. We can rent points. But WDW has never been relaxing, and now into retirement, relaxing is more valuable to us than what WDW has become, or perhaps always was. My idea of the Disney brand isn't Marvel or Star Wars...

    DVC contract long term plans

We bought 170 points in 2003 and added 30 in 2006. At that time, the kids were still at home. We planned to go every other year, and we did stay the course for a few years. I was a lifer, first visiting in 1971. Life changed. Our dd became a cp, cm and UCF grad. Then moved home. She still...

    Listed Our Contracts

Never expected to do this but we've listed our contracts for sale. There are many reasons, all of which have been discussed here, but I'm a bit sad. Disney has become really hard, and yes, we are older, and it's become so hard to navigate through apps and reservations, and price, so we've...

    What to expect

Just booked a cruise for our whole family, 2 children and spouses and 4 grandchildren. It's also our 40th wedding anniversary. We've let DCL know it's our 40th. What can we expect?

    Traveling Outside Disney Properties....?

I'm retired and my wife is soon to follow. We are hoping to do a lot more traveling, and I'm wondering how many DVC owners are regular travelers in the traditional sense. Disney has been our default location for trips for the past 30 years with most other trips to the beach. This past year has...

    April & June UY Extended!

Will I be able to borrow 2022 points for a June 2021 trip? June UY? Or is that unknown? Trying to get a read on this. Or will I only be able to borrow half my 2022 points in 2021?

    Mattress Question

A few months ago, I posted about how lousy our very expensive kings mattress has become. It occurred to me that perhaps I could replace it with two twin mattresses, and perhaps have more ability to flip, turn and even replace more easily. Has anyone ever done this? If so, has it worked? I...

DVC Member 10+ years - Park visits / Annual Passes / Florida Residents - Opinions

We buy the annual passes every couple years, and then we plan our trips around them. So in that 12 months period, we will take a number of trips which we might not otherwise take. I don't think we've ever renewed those passes. As stated above, what the regular APs cost, we're fortunate.

    Just booked Caribbean Beach: Advice

We just booked five nights at Caribbean Beach Resort the week after Thanksgiving next year. We are DVC members and this is the first time in 15 years we aren't staying at a DVC resort, and first time at Caribbean Beach. What are some pointers which we should know?

I'm carrying a little bit of a balance into 2021 because I didn't want to have that small amount left on one of the gift cards.

    Short on points....suggestions.

Upon further review, because my travels would overlap seasons, I actually would have enough points for the entire week, Sunday to Sunday.
