Spaceship Earth to close for 2+ years?

As long as it's a refurb, I'm fine with it. I think it's fine up until the moon landing and as much as I love the 70's computer woman with the yellow tights; that's a huge set that could be condensed to make room for the INSANE changes in information/communication technology of the past 15...

Hall of Presidents - Now Open

Three cheers for the poor CMs that are gonna have to deal with disruptive audience members on both sides

I need honest opinions please.... Totally upset about these shirts

Wow. They are insanely bad. If you bought them from Etsy I would be fascinated to see the listing.

Season 4 was horrible from start to finish.

Alligator dragged 2 year old into 7 seas lagoon

The picture makes this most horrible thing somehow even more horrible. I am so heartbroken for the family.

The Broadway show thread where we discuss all things Broadway

Is anyone near Chicago planning to get Hamilton tickets when they go on sale June 21st? I was lucky enough to already see the show in New York, but I paid over $200 to sit in the balcony, lol! I am hoping I'll be able to get orchestra seats in Chicago but I'm afraid it's gonna be tough! And I...

What does everyone think of Disney's casting choice for the live-action Mary Poppins?

I love Lin-Manuel Miranda and can't wait to see him. Emily Blunt...I don't think the choice could be worse. They found someone British with brown hair and called it a day I guess.

    End of life decisions.

He should call the Railroad Board (or Social Security, don't really know his full situation) and see if he is insured for disability benefits and get as much out of it as possible before he passes. And then also find out when his wife can start drawing as a widow and how much she will be reduced...

    "Full House" Disney Episode

I love that episode so much. It made me dream about one day staying at GF and eating at Coral Reef.

    Disney Vloggers

I couldn't really think of the forum this would be most appropriate in, so if a mod thinks this belongs somewhere else, my apologies. Anyway, I have been really into watching Disney vloggers on Youtube, Periscope, and snapchat recently. I used to be big into general Youtube vloggers and gurus...

Tell me about your 1st WDW vacation, please.

I was 5 so I don't remember anything. But I've seen pictures and know I was having a good time. I always believed a big part of the reason I grew to love Disney World so much was because all my trips there as a child were very well planned and therefore stress free. It sounds like you planned...

Less than 2 months to go, and a few questions

My only piece of advice, since you mention wanting to do all the Fantasyland stuff with your little kid, is to rope drop and go to Peter Pan first. I was very near the ropes for rope drop and still waited about 25 minutes for Pan. By the time I got out of the ride, the line was back to the sign...

Calm my nerves... Where/when to stay?one

I stayed at the Fairfield last week and I think it's a great place. Like others have said, it's nothing fancy but in my opinion it's good enough. It's a very nice and easy walk to the parks. To be honest, it's probably just as long of a walk as it would be if you stayed at the Disneyland Hotel...

How are DLR crowds compared to WDW?

Just echoing what everyone else is saying. I have been to Magic Kingdom on Christmas day and in addition to that have not been to WDW in my adult life when it was not summer or some sort of school break. My point is that I know WDW when it's crowded. That being said I have never experienced...

    Crowds this past Columbus Weekend?

I was there Oct 14-18 and the crowds were absolutely insane.

Which would you choose for the 60th: World of Color or Paint the Night?

While I personally prefer WOC, I would recommend PTN like everyone else. WOC will be hard for your little kids to see and there are some parts that could've been a lot better. If you wait for PTN on the part of the route that isn't in the hub or Main Street that should help minimize your waiting...

    Disney official .... Soarin'

I look forward to a new show, I just hope the new music is as epic as the original.

Can overcrowding be reduced at Disneyland?

I like this suggestion especially. It's almost impossible to walk through certain thoroughfares because of stroller parking. They are 4 deep along the Rivers of America in the morning and afternoon. And of course they are used as battering rams when in use, making it hard to walk when it's only...

Don't worry if you miss ________. It will be there next trip.

I only have really vague memories of it as a kid and probably thought it was boring, but I wish I could have really seen/remembered Horizons

Petitioning The Walt Disney Co. To Keep the Osborne Lights!!!

Disney would never do it because there wouldn't be a way to charge for it, but I think it would be cool if they put lights up around the stores/resorts in the Boardwalk area and did some sort of show there.
