Have you been to WDW lately? It is, in fact, wall to wall crowds. And they don't care. They simply want you to pay more to skip "a few" of the wall to wall crowds. They like it this way.

The difference is that the "less busy" (read: you could walk around) did NOT make for any less waits.

I wish I was exaggerating about the wait times - I'm honestly not. And I haven't been since Dec 2019...so I don't have any "covid lows" to compare it to.
