I'm glad you asked. There is a Cookbook for Disney Festivals, but the copyright is 2018. Nine recipes from Food & Wine. [My son's picture is on the third set of pages under the Woody topiary photo in the Flower & Garden section. Page 51 if any one is interested. :teeth:]
I have that one. I will have to look for your son when I get home.

Has anyone here been to Party for the Senses this year? I’m still looking for reviews.

Yes. They are pretty bad 😂. I’ll try

I’m including the included dish & the allergy one.

Risotto - they subbed pasta with beans & mushrooms. No dairy or soy.

Halibut - they left off sauce.

Cheese - I got prosciutto & melon.

Desert - I got fruit
We did it the last 2 years and really enjoyed it. Skipping it this year.
Also really enjoyed the Mexican food and Tequila - really good, but didn't fit the schedule this time. Hopefully next year.

Here they are sideways until I can fix them. I can't currently drink wine, so I was given a bottle of sparkling water. The tiny tart was an amuse-bouche to start the meal. Goat cheese with tomato in puff pastry.

Looks really good. We loved it last year and are going in 2 weeks. One of the most fun and longest ones we have attended. I think we were there nearly 4 hours last time.

We are a party of 2 and will be attending the French Family Meal what are the seating arrangements?
A couple of years ago we went to the French Breakfast and there were some couples who had a table to themselves but they sat us with another couple.
This would have been perfectly fine except the other couple was really difficult to keep a conversation going and it felt so awkward after a little bit. It actually made the breakfast not that great of an experience.
This is true at any of the food and wine events. We have gone to many of them as a party of 2. Most of the time, the table is fun and we have a great time. Every once in a while you are seated at a table that just never clicks. In general, I have met many really fun people at these events. Even if the table isn't great, the food and wine at all that we have gone to never disapoints, so its all good.

We will be there the same time! I read your post where you mentioned it lasted 4 hours! We booked a beverage seminar at 4:30 that day. I guess I better pace myself 😜 I thought it would be a 2 hour experience. We enjoy wine from Justin Cellars, it was a good idea at the time but now I’m worried.

Last year it started at noon. I think the first few started leaving at 3:30 and many later.
Really good food and wine. The staff was incredible!

I’m excited already for next year! We will be living a $10 uber ride away! Our plan is one special event every few weeks! I loved the Italian Regional lunch again this year along with the Mediterranean pairing at spice road & French Family meal traditions. Such well done events.

The French Family Meal Tradition lasts 3 hours at a minimum. We left a bit early before the waiters walked around the restaurant and we left right at 3PM. 3:30 is probably a better estimate for departure.

I have looked and haven't seen a single review yet from the Beer vs wine. Please come back and post your experience and thoughts. We're going on the 22nd and cannot wait. Last year's reviews were very good.

The initial cocktail and first course food and pairings were fantastic!

It was a fabulous experience. The food was great as well as the drinks. They came around to refill your glasses after the initial pour. Some folks seemed to have drank prior to the event and were incredibly loud and rude while they were talking about the food and drinks. It was very distracting and difficult to hear. That was the worst part about it. Wish people could be more respectful and not carry on their own conversations while an explanation about the food and drinks were occurring. I will definitely do it again....

Thanks for coming right back with pics and details. It looks fantastic! Two more weeks and I can hardly contain myself! This is our first Food & Wine and I plan to enjoy as much as possible in our 8 days there.

We attended the Culinary Demo on Friday...Boy was that disappointing! First, it wasn't much of a demo, it was a dish that uses Kohlrabi that they use to show off with at their theme park restaurant back home as it takes a day of prep to be used. Then they used a short cut for the filling by making a little dumpling with it and filled it with Sour Cream. I hate sour cream so that was a bust. Then there was a tiny asparagus and some wheat grass on top with a dab of coffee infused butter...Hardly a cooking demo, and a dish that was kind of a joke. The entire thing consisted of the Chef and Pam Smith telling inside jokes and palling around on stage while everyone just kind of sat in silence. After 30 minutes the last several of them showing videos of her restaurant back in Denmark we just got up and left. Total waste of time.

Thanks so much for sharing! I'm looking forward to trying this event in a few weeks!!

Ugh. I'm sorry it wasn't a good experience. Unfortunately seems like these demos are pretty hit or miss.
