I though I 'd go ahead and get this year's thread started for the 2020 Festival. The dates have already been announced for the Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic. Maybe info on official dates for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival are coming soon (wishful thinking most likely on my part!)

2020 will be the 25th anniversary of the Food and Wine Festival so hopefully there will be numerous special events to celebrate this milestone.

Official dates for the 2019 festival were released on April 3rd last year.

Information on the culinary demonstrations, beverage seminars, and special events was released on April 29th last year.

Bookings for the special events started on May 15th last year. Disney Vacation Club members, annual passholders, Tables in Wonderland members, and Golden Oak members could make reservations on May 14th.

The eat to the beat concert schedule was announced on May 9th, however there were multiple changes to the schedule as the start date of the Festival approached.

Dates for the Swan/Dolphin Food and Wine Classic have already been released: November 6 and November 7, 2020.

The Swan/Dolphin Food and Wine Classic has been cancelled for 2020

I have never been to food and wine but going this September - we will only have one day at Epcot - I am hoping to snag a adr for space for dinner and graze through the booths during the day - I'm hoping the lines won't be horrible for the booths early on - assuming they are worse at dinner time. Any pointers to help us navigate this would be appreciated!

What day are you going? Fridays and Saturdays will be the most crowded. If you can go on a weekday and hit the booths earlier in the day, that will be your best bet for shorter lines.

As previous poster said, try and go on a weekday. We go every year but almost never have ADRs for any table service at Epcot. There are so many options for food at all the booths we think it’s a waste to eat anywhere else that day.
Unless the new Space 220 restaurant is a must do for you, I’d skip it.

Try to avoid weekends and later evenings and you should be fine. If you are there on a weekend, but start in at 11, you should also be fine. As others have said, we don't do booths and an ADR on the same day, it's just too much food, but everyone is different and it depends on if you share or not. lol

We are going the 22nd to the 25th - park days will be Wednesday and Thursday - planning to do one day at HS and one at Epcot - I was going to plan around getting the Space ADR ....sounds like the plan to hit booths early will work hopefully. Any other festival specific tips/hints??

Already have my reservations at BCV in September and hoping for positive changes in culinary demos. Can't wait to see what creme brulee France will be offering.

Perhaps this was noted elsewhere, but just posting it here - you can view official park hours on the WDW website through Friday, August 28 right now if you click the 5-day view starting from August 24.

Epcot park hours for that Friday, August 28 are shown as 9am-10pm which is a fairly solid indication that, at least for now, WDW is planning to start F&W that week (hours for Friday, August 21 show as the normal 9am-9pm). Epcot is just about never open past 9pm outside festival weekends and some holidays.
