Hi All,
We are celebrating our 25th in Disney this Summer. Planning on doing a fireworks cruise on the Grand 1 and of course some fine dining along the trip. Any other tips for making it special? Any tricks to get a little pixie dust or upgrades?
Thanks!

We just spent our Honeymoon at Disney in September and did a few extras that made the trip really special. We did Lunch with An Imagineer at the Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios which was a wonderful experience. We joined an Imagineer who we had lunch with and he spoke about his experiences working in WDW. We also did a Keys to the Kingdom tour which gave us a glimpse at the Utlidor and our escort was fabulous and very knowledgable.

For meals, we really enjoyed Bongos ( Cuban food ) and we enjoyed their live entertainment.

Defintely have this noted on your hotel and every dining reservation! Your dining table will be decorated, and you may score a complimentary dessert. You can arrange for a small celebration cake at your resort front desk, or go for something more elaborate through Disney Celebration packages. I arranged for a small cake for my hubs birthday one year, and we came back to the room to the cake, and balloons and a decorated room! Such a nice surprise! We attended the MK fireworks dessert party last year for his birthday and the CMs made up a custom plate of mini cupcakes for him.

Hmmm we celebrated our 25th at DW this year. It was noted. No pixie dust for it. We had our normal good time.

Yeahdisney...well that's a bummer!!!! I'm sorry to hear this, but HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!:tink:pixiedust:

We had ours last year. Got a lot of stuff in restaurants, mainly free deserts. What was nice was a REAL lai at the the Polynesian. They defiantly dont do that for every guest.

Same when we were there in November and celebrating our 20th. In 2016 we were there celebrating my son's 10th birthday. Cast members made a big deal of it, gave him free desserts and gifts, etc. I don't know if the difference was adults vs. kids or if they're doing less for celebrations now, but there was a very clear difference.

Happy Anniversary ! We did the Savor the Savanna Tour at AK last trip and really enjoyed it.

My husband and I celebrated a combo of our 30th anniversary and my 50th bday. At Boma, the waitress bought us out special cupcakes and let us get a bunch of desserts in a doggie bag. Also, we went to the wrong entrance for the Rivers of Light (went to the FP entrance with no FP) The regular entrance was on the other side of the park and we would not have made it in time to see the show. They noted our anniversary buttons and let us in!
Those were the two big things. Otherwise, just a lot of people wishing us Happy Anniversary, which was nice.
I do remember them making a bigger deal out of celebrations years ago (free FP’s and stuff) but that was like 20 years ago, when only crazy Disney fans knew about things like picking up celebration buttons. Nowadays every other person is wearing a button so I’m sure it’s very hard to spread that much pixie dust! We had a wonderful time anyway—but that recognition of a special event is always magical!!
