5 most distinctive voice (singers all time)

Hmmm, my list eh? Well here we go.

1. Nick Cave (I hear him and I absolutely melt.)
2. Bob Dylan
3. Tom Waits
4. Weird Al Yankovic
5. Brittany Spears (I'm not a fan but she was distinctive.)

I bet a lot of one-hit wonders are that because they had a singer with such a distinctive voice that it just became a total earworm for everyone. I mean, who else could sound like that Crash Test Dummies guy in Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm?

There are so many that I can pick out instantly!

Michael Jackson
Whitney Houston
Steven Tyler
Stevie Nicks
Elton John

More recent artists
Britney Spears
Christina Aguilera
Adam Levine
Kelly Clarkson
Post Malone

3 more that occurred to me...

There is literally no mistaking the voice of Yes’s Jon Anderson, who is himself a musical instrument:

Stephen Stills is one of the great harmonists but his solo voice is definitely distinctive:

And Sandy Denny of Fairport Convention, such a hauntingly beautiful voice and she died way too soon:

Bob Dylan. Couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.
Whiny Houston. Self explanatory.
Kim Karnes. Miss Raspy.
The Bee Gees. Tie those draw strings tight boys, you have to hit high A.
Ashley Simpson. She can't even carry a lip synch in a bucket. She was busted lip synching one song while another was playing.
Bjork. A cross between Yoko Ono and a wailing banshee. Ahhh but I digress.
