IMG_1165.JPG IMG_1164.JPG So, we got up, spent one last time at the Atrium Club, checked out, packed the car and headed to Disney Springs for some retail therapy. Then, we had lunch reservations at Homecomin'. Joe and I each had a cocktail and some fried chicken. He got fried donuts with his and I got mashed potatoes with mine. Yummy!!!
Gia fell asleep in the car on the way back to St Pete. She was one tired pumpkin...
We dropped her off with her parents and then we headed for downtown St Pete to check into the Avalon Hotel. We had dinner reservations to get to...

We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. After our meal, we said our goodbyes and Joe and I walked around downtown and got some gelato. We also enjoyed happy hour at our hotel.

Looks like you all had a great trip. Though I'm totally kicking myself for not reading your report first as that crab salad at Citricos looks and sounds amazing. So glad we were able to meet up!!!!

REAL LIFE UPDATE and DISNEY UPDATE:

So, Joe's 50th birthday is March 8th, and since we already have Disney reservations from March 23-27, I am taking him to the Bakers Hotel in St Charles, Il, which is about 30 miles from our house. For any of you familiar with the Wahlbergs/Jenny McCarthy, it's the hotel where Jenny and Donnie were married. It's also where Donnie gives a lot of his commentary for the Wahlburgers tv show (Donnie and Jenny also live in St Charles. And, yes, we have stalked their house once or twice :smooth:)...
We've stayed at the hotel twice before, and LOVED it, so I thought what better place to take him for his 50th...We have reservations from March 9th-11th. We will be enjoying a river view/hot tub suite, a bottle of wine delivered to our room, breakfast in bed one morning, and dinner at Rox City Grill one night.

On to the Disney portion of this update...Nothing new for our March 23-27 trip, but I will be able to book dining reservations for our girl's trip June 5-7 on December 7th, me thinks...I am DEFINITELY booking Cali Grill for dinner one night. I'd also LOVE to hit up Geyser Point again, unless Joe and I are able to catch a meal there in March...

How fun...I think we've mentioned this before that your husband and I share a birthday, and I'm tempted to do a Disney trip for my upcoming birthday...but it would be 46 years for me.

Sounds like a great plan though for your celebration!

I'm still thinking about my NEXT trip once this one is done, but nothing planned yet.

I do hopefully...had to WAITLIST Aulani at only 7 months out so fingers crossed I get at least one of the two rooms I've waitlisted there. If not, we will still go but will just stay elsewhere.

It’s one of three trees I put up, but it’s my favorite!

That Tink topper is adorable! I do three trees too. One has "fun" ornaments on it and the other two are more formal/themed. Everyone likes the fun tree the best!

LOVE the tree! We do two trees also, the real one has tons of ornaments and then I have a smaller fake tree where I put up all of my Ornament of the Month Disney ornaments plus a few more Disney ornaments, mostly characters. I save some of the bigger Disney ornaments, including the ones with photos, for our main real tree though.

I love the Robin Hood ornament!
Your plan for Joe's 50th sounds awesome. I see he and @kittylady1972 share a birthday; March 8th is mine and Steve's anniversary :)

I really did NOT want to put up 3 trees this year, but Ashley insisted. What we do for our kids...

I hope he enjoys it!!!! I remember that March 8th is your anniversary! We should totally celebrate Joe’s Bday and your Anniversary in March (plus, it will give us a good excuse to have a drink)...Who am I kidding???? I don’t need an excuse for a good Disney cocktail!!!!
