I am visiting Waikiki before Aulani and I have 7 people that are family traveling together. Any idea of how that will work at restaurants, beaches, etc? Will we really have to split into 2 groups?

We've got 5 kids, so it's 7 for us too. Everything I've read is that you'll need to split into two groups, but just be about 6-10 feet apart.

I can't even begin to explain it logically, because it's impossible....

It is very common in Hawaii for large family groups to share housing. This becomes an issue in public when trying to enforce distancing. So they have set a number with which they will work.
