A disney lovin anniversary and a first timer bday...3 Disney freaks going to WDW

This is my first PTR so please bare with me.

The cast:
Morgan (DH...used to swear he hated Disneyland. I told him he had never been with the right people. Now he is addicted to all things Disney. He was in the military for 12 years and was medically discharged after being hit by an IED in Iraq. Now works for TSA. He's the best man I could hope for.)

Lindsay (not so lil' old me...stitchywoman...I have been a Disney addict since I was a little kid. I don't know what started it, but if Disney makes it I will experience it. I am an RN. I hurt myself lifting a patient in December of last year and have been doing lite duty since. I miss helping patients and hope to get back to caring for sick people in one context or another soon.)

Carolle (DBFF...She has never been to the World before so we are taking her as an early birthday present. She's a preschool teacher who is pretty much out of work right now. Love that economic crisis. She loves Disney almost as much as we do so this should be good.)

Now on to the trip.

We are going for a week in August. We get to stay at POR and are all very excited. Here is the next step in staying at every hotel at WDW. When the DH and I stayed onsite for our honeymoon 2 years ago we got Savannah view at AKL. We LOVED it but didn't spend to much time in the room so we figured it's good to move one and see other things too. Plus this is a trip with a budget so yep we are "downgrading". I am far to excited about POR though... Getting to take boats places is making me happy. We have left over tickets from our Platinum honeymoon that we are planning on using here.

To get you up to date on where we are in our plans.

I have the plane tickets...as long as Delta doesn't keep changing our flight plans.

We have a room...sounds silly, but I know so important right?

We are going during "free" dining. We are upgrading to the deluxe because we like the signature restaurants and are big foodies. Our honeymoon pictures literally have 3 pictures of us in them and about 200 of food and another 100 of animals from AK. (now mind you I was a Vet student before becoming a nurse so I could move with my DH when he switched bases. Animals truly are my other passion next to Disney. My daughter isn't half bad either. )

Our ADRs are booked. I have them posted in another place and will post them again once I find them.

So now we wait....not particularily quietly or calmly either I have to admit. I spend every day getting a little more excited and a little more stressed.

I got my magical express packet today and made my DBFF come over so I could show her the luggage tag that had her name printed on it. I admit it, I am completely looney and very guiddy about getting ready for disney. I have a mini countdown that is going for 2 weeks out so I can start packing. I have everyone convinced that this is completely normal and that it is simply so I don't forget anything. In all honesty it is keeping me from going nuts before the trip comes.

DBFF also called me today to tell me that she got her shoes in the mail that she ordered for the trip. I swear by having a pair of montrail molokinis and a pair of teva mushes. These are what she ordered. This time I am adding a pair of montrail panas for me. My feet seem to get lost in the molokinis a little. They were what saved me last trip though, so I am taking them with me in case the panas don't give enough support. I also got a pair of teva dozers for if I need to wear sneakers at any point or if I notice flip flop raw spots. DH is wearing his montrail molokis and a pair of sneakers.

Also in today is our disney teeshirts. I am surprising both of them with a new disney shirt each morning. I did it for DH last trip and he actually requested it this trip when I told him I was doing it for Carolle (DBFF) as part of her birthday present. Yes, I have created a Disney loving monster...and IT LIVES!!!!! I got everyone shirts on sale at the disney outlet and will just lay them out each morning. I got us all matching ones that say "this is my party shirt" for our first full day in the parks.

Tomorrow we are taking our daughter to the California Science center because we all want to see the mummy exhibit and the ecosystem exhibits, but somewhere in there I need to find time to order Morgan's (DH) anniversary present from Disneyflorist.com. Thankfully my daughter likes to help and will surely keep him enthralled by something so I can sneak away....

I will post photos of the cast and DD11 because frankly she is just too cute not to once I figure out how.

Ok, let me see if this works....

here is me....this is why I am called stitchywoman. I LOVE stitch. I can't sew particularily well, so that is certainly not it.

This is Morgan and me...I can't find one of just him on this computer but here he is...beautiful huh?

and here is Carolle....I swear these are some of the only pictures I have of me...and they happen to have my favorite people in them...hehehehe.... now if I could just find one of DD on my computer!

Signing onto your PTR! I saw your post in the Food Porn Thread and found your PTR! Can't wait to hear more about your trip! We are doing DxDDP as well!
