ADR at resort, then heading to a MVMCP - ok to leave car?

We have an ADR at one of the monorail resorts for a late lunch on a party day. Our plan was to have lunch and then head to the party. We were planning on leaving the car at the hotel but I saw on another thread that it may be towed? Not asking or trying to circumvent the rules - we were thinking it was fine to park for our ADR, eat, head in on the monorail, and get the car again at the resort on the way out - we didn't think it made any sense to all load back into the car after lunch (one member of the party is in a wheelchair and we also have a child in a stroller) just to have to park at the TTC and monorail anyway - probably about an hour worth of time. Given the timing of the ADR, doing that after lunch would also eat into our party time. Is that really what we would need to do? Thanks!

Not allowed unless you pay to valet park. But if you have a Handicap placard or plate, you should be able to valet for free.

Parking
Valet parking at Disney Deluxe hotels is complimentary for any Guest with a valid disability parking permit and a current room or dining reservation at that particular resort. Designated parking areas are available for Guests with disabilities at all Disney Resort hotels. A valid disability-parking permit is required.

No
You may park for 3 hours to eat, shop, visit the resort. You may NOT use a resort parking lot for Theme Park parking. You may Valet Park, for a fee if you do not have a Handicap Placard. If you Valet you can stay as long as you want.
It may not make sense to you, but it sure makes sense to the guests paying lots of money to stay at a Theme Park Resort. It is totally unfair to paying guests to return to their resort and to be unable to find a parking spot.
You can park at the TTC Before lunch to save the time you are worried about

Resort parking is not meant for Theme Park access.
Exactly. The lots at the monorail resorts are small and can’t handle all the people who’d like to do this plus have room for the resorts own guests. It’s a courtesy thing, one expects to find parking when they return to their home resort and would be unhappy if they couldn’t. Well think of those staying at the resort you are visiting and show them the courtesy you’d expect by moving the car after the ADR.

Oh, and it does happen that the lots fill up. When we arrived to check in at the Polynesian last Saturday the guard told us we were only being allowed in because parking was very tight at the time. All the cars ahead of us were turned away. He told us to come back if we couldn’t find a spot and they’d make one. After driving around for several minutes we found exactly 2 in the whole lot. The lot was 2/3 empty the next morning. Please, please, please move your car after the ADR.

We'd be doing the valet - we're very familiar with a lack of handicap spots being an issue and so we usually do the valet where offered to leave those spots free for people who may need it (also because of the pass, we're not taking up any "regular" spots). And even if it wasn't free because of the disability pass, it isn't a matter of trying to cheat the theme park parking - we're not spending a few hundred dollars on a meal to try and skip out on the $22 parking fee. We're just trying to do what's easiest for the grandparent by minimizing the number of times they have to transfer from the car to the wheelchair. If we're going to have to move the car between lunch and the party, we'd just cancel the ADR and only do the party- (arriving earlier to park at TTC early enough to get to lunch from there isn't an option because the person driving the rental car needs it for other plans in the morning and is picking us up at our hotel before we head over for lunch. and we don't have a big enough adults to stroller/wheelchair ratio to have just one adult leave the car, move it, and meet back with the group - even if we did, we were unsure of the ability to access the handicapped spots at the TTC without the person in the car with us (this was a problem on a previous visit - we had parked at one end of Disney Springs, walked to the other, one adult went back to move the car closer, and a guard questioned the use of the spot when the driver got out of the car without anyone in a wheelchair)

You don't need to load the entire family into the car to move it. They can all wait for you to move it, you return to that resort after moving the car and you all head to the party together.
