In just 1 month my girlfriend and I will be in wdw we are spending 7 days there 4 in the world 3 on the cruise. Wondering if anyone can give me a rough est. of how much money I should a lot for the week or each day in the park. I have been to WDW before but only on family vacations where others paid my way for the most part. My girlfriend and I are in our 20's if that helps thanks in advance

That depends on what you are including. If this doesn't count hotel or park passes just food and shopping, you can get by on very little if you want. Depending on your drinlking preferences, about $75 a day should be plenty.

Enjoy

I think a big factor is what you plan to do for meals. Having a sit down meal with a few drinks at an expensive restaurant obviously is a lot more than picking up a burger and coke. You can get the prices of all restaurants on wdwig.com . That should give you a good idea of what youll need for food money. Then you will just need to figure out how many souveniers you want, and if you plan to do any separately priced activities, that arent included with your passes(mini golf, Pleasure Island, boat rentals, etc...depending on what passes you have).

I guess what Im trying to say is what you plan to do has a big effect on how cheap or how expensive the trip can be.

Have a great time! And BTW, welcome to the Dis!!!:D

we are two twenty-somethings and I figure about $100 a day for food, souvenirs, snacks and activities. We usually eat one sit-down meal a day and one counter service. We eat breakfast in the room. Some days we spend a little more than this, but we usually spend much less. Unless you intend on drinking a lot of alcohol or eating at really expensive restaurants, $100 a day should be plenty.

Although we're, ahem, a "little" older than you, my DH and I (no kiddies) usually budget $100 per day for the two of us for "spending money." We often don't spend that much, but that allows for the occasional alcoholic beverage, sit-down meal, souvenir you didn't plan to buy, etc.

Beware of the hidden costs on a cruise!

Your alcohol will not be included in the price of the cruise. Soda pop is included in the price of your cruise only at meals. You will need to either purchase mugs or else pay for each soda that you order.

Excursions, taxi rides, tips for tour guides are all extras.

You should tip the server who brings you room service, the person who handles your baggage at the docks and the drivers who get you to your destinations.

Customary tipping on the ship is as follows:
  • Dining Roomer Server; $3.75 per person per night
  • Dining Room Assistant Server: $2.75 per person per night
  • Dining Room Head Server: $1.00 per person per night
  • Stateroom Host/Hostess: $3.60 per person per night
  • Palo Server:15-20% for wine service
  • Bartender or Lounge Server:10-15% if not already added to the tab

For our 7-night cruise this summer (family of 4), tipping alone will add an additional $300+ to the bill.

If you plan to do any shopping while in the ports, budget for that. Especially if you intend to purchase watches, jewelry and alcohol.

If you plan to visit the Atlantis Resort & Casino while you're in Nassau, bring some gambling $$. There are no casinos on the Disney ships.

You should be able to get more info about the costs of shore excursions from your cruise documents. You can also check out the Disney Cruiseline Forum for more on the hidden costs of cruising.

I'm not familiar with the cruise, but regardling "while in the world" and assuming your room is taken care of, meaning just keepsakes and consumables:

I conquer with the $100 a day figure. We're two very young 40 somethings (grunt, groan). We can do it on forty a day (breakfast in room, light lunch, snack, pizza back at the room for dinner). We've also torn through an amazing amount without going nuts (like the time we went to Emerils, a different bird altogther). The normal "expensive day": Breakfast buffet at WL Whispering Canyon (I think it was $30 with tax and tip), lunch at 50's PT ($50), dinner at R&C for Illuminations ($70), about ten bucks in incidentals, and our little Pleasure Island bar tab ($80). Note these figures don't account for park tickets or other admission (like price to get on PI). Watch out for the booze. It's a killer! Note none of that includes souvenirs.

But if you budget a hundred bucks a day, and take it light one or two days to allow for heavier days, it's a good budget that allows plenty of fun.
