We have family friends that are going to WDW on a Make-a-wish trip next week (about 11/13-11/18/2023). They are concerned about all the rain in the forecast.
What suggestions does everyone have for dealing with this situation? What are the shows/character visits/rides?/activities that they should ty to plan to do at each park if it's raining and they have 2 wheelchairs to deal with? Both of the wheelchair bound kids cannot walk at all, even with assistance and one of the kids cannot even sit without assistance, so I don't think very many rides are an option.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Any ride, attraction, meet-n-greet or show that is indoors will still run if it’s raining.

The bigger issue would be if queues extend outdoors under the rain, but Wish kids should be OK; the pass they are given will help with queues.

They will need ponchos to cover the kiddos, and you just run between buildings. Yes, you might get a little wet, but Disney World in the rain is still Disney World - just a little bit… damper.

Be sure to have the family read this post - it’s an FAQ that will help answer all their questions.

Make sure you try that poncho at home to see how much it covers. My Dh who used a wheelchair (now scooter) at Disney was surprised how wet he got using a poncho. A poncho lays differently on a person sitting vs standing. Of course, you don’t want it so big that it gets caught in wheels.
