My sister told me I am too fat to ride Flights of Passage. Does anyone know if this is true? I am 5'5", physically able (I can squat like a boss) I am obese but I have never had problems on any rides at Disney, with the exception of the Seven Dwarves Mine Train (it is a tight fit) But I still can ride. Please advise. Share your expert knowledge.

I'm pooh size I tried the test seat in December - I fit and I was worried until I got on. Try the test seat cast members really are kind I was surprised I fit reading about some issues others had.

If you can squat like a boss, I have great faith that you can ride FoP. :)

I was with a group of 7 adults of varying sizes—height and width—and none of us had a problem fitting into the ride vehicle.

I almost threw up, but that’s a different problem. LOL! Have fun! It wasn’t my cup of tea, but many say it’s the best ride in WDW. :)

Definitely try the test seat. It has to do with where the bulk of your weight is distributed. I was worried about my chest area and calves, but I was fine. My cousin cares her weight mostly in her middle and she did not fit, but just barely. The CM at the test vehicle gave her some tips if she wanted to try, but my cousin gets claustrophobic so did not want to chance it.

As others have said, don't rule it out just because you are afraid you won't fit. Try the test seat. The truth of the matter is, most people fit in it with no problems. It is only a small percentage of guests that are unable to ride, and then, from what I've read, it is usually more to do with the length and size of their legs and feet than it is to do with their overall body size.

A friend of mine is pooh sized. He fit fine. Just remember to sit up straight. It sounds strange but its true. I watched a guy in the test seat go from not fitting to fitting just fine after I told him to sit up straight. And yes, legs can be an issue. If you go on your "tippy toes" (lift your heal) as the back part is pushed in, you should be fine.

We had a friend who tried the test seat and the man politely told him he was close. He worried all day until our fastpass time arrived and when we got in he slid into the seat fine. He moved up, sat up straight moved his legs forward and the seat seemed so much bigger than the trial outside. He said he wasted all day worrying for nothing. Good Luck!

It seems to depend on how you carry weight. I carry a lot in my hips and thigh region and had no trouble fitting. My friend ended up stepping out but she carries her weight all around the middle and that seemed to be an issue. From your profile pic I think you should be just fine.

I was there last week and a man in my loading group was not allowed to ride. He was very tall and had a large, protruding belly. I felt terrible for him but the one good thing that came from it was his entire party was offered (I think multiple) anytime FP's for the remainder of the day. I thought that was a nice gesture so it definitely doesn't hurt to try!

I was there last week too. My daughter (7) freaked out when we got in the loading room so we walked on through and sat at the exit while my DH rode. While we were waiting, a guy came out who didn't fit. Honestly, he wasn't that big, but he was very tall. I guess the legs can be an issue. They gave him 2 FPs for any attraction at WDW with the exception of FOP for everyone in his party. I believe it was good for that day and the next. This was late afternoon so the time may have something to do with when the FPs could be used.

My son is 6ft and 268lbs. He has a long torso with a bit of a belly. You straddle this bench like seat with a panel in front of you. They then raise the back of the seat and click it into place. He just made it.

I am pooh size in the middle and chest. I looked at the thread posted above and watched the video of the gal who gave great tips on placement.

I fit no problem.

I think word spread that people were being escorted off due to their size and now it has people evaluating themselves/others which can lead to anxiety before riding this incredible ride.

You’ll be fine don’t sweat it ;)

My husband is a large guy - 5'10" and 300lbs. He fit just fine. I also rode it riding a back brace and I'm not a small gal either -- I think you'll be fine!
