I don't watch much of this kind of TV but early on I saw the ventriloquist and wondered how she would do. So we recorded the last 4 hours and tonight we spent about 50 minutes skipping through the fluff to get to the results. I'm glad she won but we were disappointed that they signed off about 30 seconds after announcing the winner.

And who the heck in Vegas is going to want to sit through a whole show of that?? She is cute, does a good job but after 5 minutes "ok enough, next".....

The second season winner did just that. There are a lot of people that do shows like this. She is young yet to do it full time. I believe they only do 2 nights in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Cafe.

I have seen a few on the Disney Fantasy...they do a show for the family then do a show for the adults it is very entertaining if the person it good. Almost have to be a comedian as well so she has two talents.

meh. Darci clearly had the popular vote, but by no means the best act. I think they need to put an age limit in contestants. This is way too much pressure for these kids. She botched the duet she did with Terry Fator and couldn't recover on her own until Fator jumped in. She's just too young for this.

And no way I'd pay money to watch her or any ventriloquist. Not her, not Terry Fator, not the awful Jeff Dunham.

I found Tyra to be delightful all season. I've met her. She's lovely.

I am sure Chase Goerhing, the deaf girl, Light Balance, Preacher, and Diavolo will all get signed.

Just because the winner is entitled to a show in Vegas does not mean they actually have to do it. Grace Vanderwaal didn't. And many kids can handle the pressure of professional performing.

Sure. It's very hard...I just don't think she's all THAT great at it or unique. All her characters have essentially the same voice and similar personalities. She's darn good for a young kid. It's just my opinion.

A singer isn't unique, neither is a comedian. The dancers (Light Balance and Diavolo(?)) at least did something different. Since this is a popular vote, everyone has their opinion of what makes someone "great".

I wish they wouldn't even let singers on the show. There are already other shows for that.

But since you don't enjoy the kind of act she does, are you really the best person to decide if it was the best?

Jeff Dunham has a pretty hefty net worth. And has performed around the world. So, although you may think he is "awful," many people don't feel that way.

Great idea.

I feel that there is so much talent in other areas. And would still be an enjoyable show.

I was and still remain wowed by The Clairvoyants. And without Grace, well.

I enjoy Jeff Dunham (and would love to see him live) and I think this young lady is very talented but I don't agree so much with a young kid winning. Just not sure they have as much of a chance of this really being as long lasting in a career as the adults.

I was very excited to see that an act from last season--the Clairvoyants--are performing at one of the casinos on the MS coast. They are an act I will be much more willing to pay to see than either that season's winner or this one.

Colin Cloud is here in Toronto this fall. With a group of illusionists. It's a shame that The Clairvoyants are not part of the package.

They are so good I often wonder why a country hasn't kidnapped them yet or why their planet hasn't asked them to return home.

Yes, Grace did. They added an extra show for a total of 3. The winner doesn't get a standing gig, it's just two nights (or in the case of last year, three).
