Annual Passes

Our next DVC visit to BWVs will be in May and we are planning to purchase annual passes when we arrive. Is this a good way to go, or is there any reason to purchase them ahead of time. We generally visit each year in May, as well as dates in-between. Can we use the Disney Club discount to purchase them at the time of check-in (I think this is a greater discount than through DVC)? Any help appreciated.

There is no DVC discount on AP's- the DC discount is the only one available (unless you are a FL resident). DVC only offers a discount on UMP and the new Magical Years Pass. AP is usually the best if you will be going to parks 8 days or more over the course of a year. Enjoy!

hi: if you are going to use a disney club card to purchase your aps with a discount, you may buy them at your local disney store. they will call you when your voucher is in the store; it takes a couple weeks. you merely activate your voucher at the parks.

You can purchase them right at the park. I did that with my DC card, no hassles at all.

You mention purchasing the AP at check-in...just FYI you can't buy them at the resorts but you can get them at the park entrances.

Ok, be sure you understand the new AP policy. You do NOT want to purchase them until you are ready to use them.
You can purchase a voucher ahead of time...but if you purchase the actual AP, the year starts to run....
