Any COUPLES who are Disney Fans!?

I loved Coronado Springs! When we stayed there last year, (11/30-12/6), it was pretty quiet. I loved the Laguna Bar, and my partner loved the waterslide at the pool, haha. The resort is pretty large, but I never minded walking around the resort, taking in all the scenery. I hope you like it!

Thanks! I'm really excited to try out a new resort. I think we'll enjoy the more 'adult' feel. I don't mind a little extra walking either. Quite often on our last trip we would get a bus back to POFQ from the parks and walk back to our room at POR.

We are big Disney lovers to the core! :) We have been together 12 years and got married this past February at Disney World! Truly Magical is all I can say...especially since we had Mickey Mouse attend! :) Like many we are Annual passholders and DVC members and go 2-3 times a year. We LOVE the Disney Cruise and did that on our honeymoon...plus even did the Glass Slipper Challenge the weekend of our wedding...nothing like getting up in the wee hours to run before getting married! LOL We are about to go on our 16th Disney cruise to Hawaii in Sept and spend some time at Disneyland for its 60th anniversary celebration! Great to read about so many wonderful couples on here! :)

How did you manage to have the energy to do the glass slipper challenge AND get married??!

Lol

it was a lot for a weekend! We even did the cruise right after so we could get the Castaway Cay challenge medal. . Needless to say we laid by the pool and drank during the rest of the cruise!

I'm the bigger Disney fan, but DW would go to every Star Wars weekend if possible! So far we've only made it there once together, but I have hope for more. We've been married for 10 years, together for 12.

New DIS member and half a couple here. We went a lot in the 90s, often doing the rent-a-kid thing till our nieces and nephews outgrew it. Then after my mother passed away, I lost the desire to go there (since she'd retired to FL, and I'd gone many times with her).

But with our 30th year together coming up, DH decided that's where he wants to go to celebrate, so I'm starting to plan things out.

Hey! We're a couple, oooh pick us!! :rotfl:

Seriously though, my girlfriend and I are going to be in the world November 12th to 26th if anyone's able to meet up :thumbsup2

We're big fans! Counting down to our next trip for F&W Fest, Sept 29 - Oct. 3. Anyone else planning to be there at that time?

My boyfriend got me into Disney! When I met him he was headed to work in Epcot in 9 months time (we're British), we got together, I went to visit him when he was at WDW and it's how my love affair with Disney started! Seriously thought I would hate it and that the amount of money it cost was absurd (any idea the amount of Jagerbombs the cost of these holidays could buy?!) my first trip turned me into a fanatic and now i love it as much as my BF haha! Next trip is May 10-24 if people are there :D

My partner and I just booked a super last minute trip to Disney! When we heard the Osborne Family Lights were done after this year, we knew we had to go. My last trip with my dad before he passed away unexpectedly was to see them, and I just feel like I need to see them again for him.

We are also taking my mom! Should be an interesting, quick, trip, haha. We are staying at All Star Movies ("inexpensive" is a key word to this trip!). I can't believe we are doing this, but I'm so excited!

We are, we already agreed if we get to win the lottery, the first thing we would do is to purchase a home in Golden Oak. In the meanwhile we visit every year!

Another couple here! :D

My fiancé and I have been together for six years. He had been to the States twice before we met and we went together for our first anniversary. I live exactly halfway around the world from Orlando (Western Australia) so hadn't given the Disney parks much thought and with everything on vacation being new to me they didn't make much of an impression (I just remember really loving Big Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom!).

We returned a year later, and WDW has remained my favourite place in the world ever since. It's now become an annual thing for us so last year we decided to bite the bullet and become DVC members. We've now managed 3 Disney cruises, WDW x5, DL x4, and both Tokyo DL and HK DL once each (with all five booked next year, whew! Not bad for a bloke from outback Australia :D). Every trip has its own special memories attached to it, this year for example was riding Hyperspace Mountain on its first day at DL and being at the Osborne Lights for the official opening night of its final season. I would have never done any of it if I hadn't met my partner :love2:

My partner proposed while we were at the Osborne Lights!!! Our rings have little Mickeys on them too. Clearly the trip was worth it.

That's awesome! Congrats!! :yay:
(and yay that you also got to see the lights!!!)

My Fiance and I are Huge Disney Fans. We are SSR owners and I proposed to him at WDW this last trip around. I can't get enough of telling this story, so I'll tell it again. :)

We were staying in a one bedroom at OKW. My parents flew and on the day of my proposal, I had scheduled for us to change hotels. We moved over to the Grand Villa at VGF. Once we were in the room, we took a short break and then at 4pm, I rushed him off to a "Mens only massage" at Senses spa. While he was having the spa experience, I came back down with the clothes I wanted him to wear (the staff there knew what was going on). They made sure he put on the clothes I had set aside for him. We then went and met our private butler in the lobby of the Grand Floridian. He escorted us to a private 3rd floor balcony where there was a table for two. At that point, the chef came and asked us for our food alergies and aversions. Then he went down and prepared our meals. We had an amazing five course meal. In the middle of the meal, the fireworks at MK started going off and at that point, my parents walked out on the balcony and that's when I proposed. He was in tears. It was such an amazing experience.

We have another 5 day trip in the planning for September (staying at BLT) and another 17 day trip in the planning for January 2017 (anyone else going during either of these times should drop us a line)!!!

We live on the North Side of Chicago. Always up for meeting new couples and of course, finding a couple that would enjoy doing Disney with us.

Look forward to hearing all your stories as well!

We are looking into honeymooning at Disney after our wedding :) Four or five days at the parks, then hop on a Disney Cruise! Neeeeeever thought the fiance would be into that, haha. Still super early talks, but I think it would be fun.

My fiancée and I are Disney fans.

I'd always loved Disney as a child, but had mostly grown out of it as an adult. My fiancée loves travelling and one of our first overseas trips was to Japan. I'd always wanted to visit Disneyland as a child, but it wasn't an option living in Australia, so we went to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea and I fell in love with Disney all over again. My fiancée also loves Disney, but not to the same degree that I do. The fact that "Disney" now encompasses Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars helps.

We've managed to visit Disney theme park around the world and we've done one short Disney Caribbean cruise. This year we're getting married and part of our honeymoon will include a visit to the original Disneyland in LA and a Disney Alaskan cruise. We also kind of got engaged at Tokyo Disneyland. On a recent trip to Japan, I had planned to propose at DisneySea, but my partner beat me to the punch earlier in our holiday. I still went ahead with my proposal since I'd put so much thought into it!
