I've just learned how to knit, finally! I learned to crochet when I was about 13 and have made lots of afghans, baby blankets and such. The whole 2-needle thing seemed beyond me, but now I can do it! ....and have found it's addicting!

Are there any good magazines or websites anyone can recommend? I've found a lot of websites, but it's dizzying. There's so many!

Good for you to learn!! I JUST learned how to crochet about 2 days and am working on my first scarf!! Its addicting!! lol

I am the other way around I have been knitting for 30+ years now but have never mastered the art of Crochet - I think that one of these days I will sit down with my Mum and ask her to show me again!!! I would love to be able to crochet some lace - Iknow that this will take alot of practise but my Grandmother did this and it looked beautiful - perhaps I can make this my new years resolution. Imzadi - these websites look great!!!

Cool website! Thanks! I ordered the Idiot's and Dummies guides to knitting, so I think I'll be set. It is addicting! I've got about 4-5 projects I want to do now and I've found a place in town that teaches classes. DH's eyes glaze over whenever I start babbling about the next thing I want to make

Oh, i forgot about these sites.:) Here are links to make up some scarves using the new novelty yarns out, like the ribbon yarn or fun fur yarns.:)

Here is a FULL list of the scarf patterns shown in the link above. It's just that the top link is more user friendly as it shows pictures first, instead of just the list of patterns.

Anyone ever use one of these knitting boards? I got one recently but haven't used it yet. I thought it would be a good alternative for when I don't feel like knitting with needles.:)
