You can bring two checked bags on most airlines right

It depends on the airline. Some (most?) charge per bag. Southwest allows 2 free checked bags per passenger. Check with the airline you are flying.

SHE will want to read about her airlines baggage policy, and when in doubt to contact the airline directly with questions. Some airlines allow one free bag of a certain size, others require payment for all bags outside of a purse. Each airline is different. To be safe, never go with the assumption that even a carry-on is free. And she will want to watch the weight and size limits of her bags as this can add additional fees.
