Ok. I'm just looking at an aerial shot of Ballys.

The South tower is one wing. It sits right on the Strip (Las Vegas Blvd), but runs parallel to Flamingo Ave.

The North tower (which has the renovated rooms) sits further back from the strip. It's shaped like a T, with the top of the T sitting on and parallel to Flamingo avenue.

Both times I stayed there I was in large renovated rooms in the North Tower. The first time, the view was north of (then) Barbary Coast. The second time South, and you could see behind most of the casinos all the way to Hooters (woo hoo).

I started this thread asking about Bally's, but I went ahead & booked a deluxe room at PH for $99 a night. I just couldn't pass it up!

I will keep my eyes open though, just in case.

I feel so much better now, flights are booked, room is booked, now on to planning our activities

Congratulations! I doubt you'll find anything cheaper than that in the neighborhood

I could see the fountains in January but you had to be standing right up next to the window to see them. I was right next to Paris and had the eiffel tower view. This is the old tower, whichever one that is. It was an old room. It was clean, and I didn't spend much time in it. The bed was too hard. Maybe when they renovate they will change that.

I will be back there in September, love the checkin desk at the airport. I had about $100 a night at Bally's, especially good since I have to stay over a Saturday night.

Someone on another board posted a link. In the terms for the promotion it says you need to be an A list Card Holder. I am hoping I can just sign up when I get there & they will honor it.

Perfect. "A List" is their new players club. Just sign up before you check in.

If you still want to check on Ballys or Paris there's a button (top right) on Harrahs.com that says "Hot Deals". There's nothing for November yet for either, but check again in a month or two.

Looks like it's about a mile from PH to HRH. I would take a cab or check the bus routes.

Just to let you guys/gals know that Ballys, Rio, Harrah's and The Flamingo are having rooms for $99! Was advertised on TV....I would check into it if anyone is planning on coming here to Vegas! Just go to their websites for more info!
