Thank you so much Doc! I will be there in 21 days and can't wait to see them in person. Are the big yellow cranes that everyone is talking about still there. I don't see them in the pics?

Now, if you can just get the information out of someone as to when they will start to pre-sell!

No cranes- all of the framing structure appears to be in place and some of the exterior trim is even up.

Thanks for the great pictures. It looks like it's moving right along. What kind of views did you see? From the pictures, it looks like lots of trees. Did you see the tanks and other unattractive views that people were talking about?

Great pics! Now we just need everyone visiting WDW in the next few months, to do an "Pictorial Update"!! I haven't even received my papers back from closing on VWL (my first DVC purchase), and I'm itching to add-on at the BCV!!

Thanks for the pics Doc!! It looks great, with a "new" boardwalk, painting, etc, that area will look good. I think they will be ready before Sept 2002 in my opinion!! Any one else want to bet on that? I think Summer 2002, maybe June, or July. JMHO.......

Looking at Doc's awesome pictures, it appears that the part of the new Villas building nearest to the current Beach Club is MUCH farther along than the area closest to Epcot and the parking lot. Could they be constructing the building this way to allow them to open 1/2 of the building early (ie similar to the AKL)? Or is it just the normal progression of construction? I suppose that if the entire exterior and the lobby were complete by spring, they could open the wing closest to the Beach Club and possibly even begin official DVC sales (or does Florida law require the entire building to be complete prior to timeshare sales?). They could then complete the interior of the other 1/2 of the building with minimal interruption to the guests. Just a thought....

We stayed at OKW Sunday night - sorry to have missed you AGAIN, Doc!!

Anyway... Yesterday, we took the "Behind the Seeds Tour" at the Land. When we stepped backstage to start the tour, we noticed the BCV clearly in the distance. It looked to me like "several" rooms would have a clear view of the parking lots and backstage areas of this area (Land, Imagination, etc.)

I hope I'm wrong, though, and that those pine trees grow <i>quickly</i>!
