Beaches and cream walk-up

Can someone explain the walk up process For Beaches and Cream? I haven’t been able to get a reservation. I looked this morning at noon and it said walk ups were filled to capacity for the day. I checked right now and it says they can’t accommodate party of my size but it never asked my party size! We Have never been there before and just wanted to get some ice cream. Thanks!

Walk up seating through the app is new. Disney is trying to limit the number of people who physically walk up to inquire about same-day availability. Beaches and Cream has a take out window too.
