Best remedies for sinus congestion

I have chronic sinusitis and the only thing that works for me is Sudafed (from behind the pharmacy counter) paired with ibuprofen, saline nasal spray every couple hours, lots of steam from long hot showers or a humidifier, and sometimes mentholated cough drops or essential oils. When it gets too bad I end up at the doctor for steroids and antibiotics. Oh, sleep on your back without your head elevated too much, it will encourage drainage. Good luck :)

The school nurse suggested apple cider vinegar for my chronic sinus infections/congestion. I thought, hey, what can it hurt? So I bought some with 'the mother' in it (I did not look up what the mother is, LOL!) and took the suggested dosage for a few days - my sinuses did clear up quite a bit, but my stomach didn't like the acidity, even when I took it with water.
