Probably to know who to report things to?
That's why there's the little Report button in each message, is it not?
It is but I mod a smaller forum and people really like to complain via PM
True, but the report box does give room for a message. It'd be nice to see what mods are on. Maybe not per forum, but just overall.
Moderators have a yellow banner below their name/avator when they post.
Send them a pm if you wish
If you wish to report a thread, click on the report button.
I don't know of anyone that wants their profiles listed on the top of any forums.
Most moderators have listed disboard rules in the forum stickies they are involved in.
That is the best way to see who the moderator is in the forums they oversee.
When a poster does report a thread, they are allowed to write a message
The box is there for them to do so.
No so its easier to send them something that might contravene with policy. To see if it does or if you can post it. It would make so much easier to find them
Before the current board software was used, the previous software did show a listing of the moderator type people for each forum, down at the bottom of each forum if I recall. When the board software was updated, that was one of my first questions to Alex.
Here is an even earlier version that showed a concise summary listing of all the forums on one page.
Individual mods are not online 24/7 and have lives outside of this forum. There is a 'Report' button on every post if you require assistance. I consider this a 'social' website where people interact about all things related to Disney. Nothing anyone is going to ask needs an instant reply from a mod. Use the report button and when convenient someone will act on it.
