I'm going to Epcot on December 6th and I am taking my disabled best friend with me. She will be in a scooter. I was wondering how that show worked with scooters/wheelchairs. Do I need to book a dining package to guarantee us a place? Will I be able to use the disability pass we'll pick up that day and get in without that? Or is it still first come first served? We're both really looking forward to seeing Epcot at Christmas and really would enjoy this show. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

It works just like any other guest going if you have a dining reservation you will have a set closer to the front if not you may have a set but further back Do I need to book a dining package to guarantee us a place? how popular is the person doing the reading the more popular ones the more popular will want to see, How long are you willing to wait Will I be able to use the disability pass we'll pick up that day and get in without that? if her only need is an ECV there is no pass and the pass dose nothing for the candlelight procession Or is it still first come first served? the people with dinning goes first the standby there is no disability pass for this We're both really looking forward to seeing Epcot at Christmas and really would enjoy this show. Any advice would be appreciated. @RaySharpton has great photo so that you can see what it is like also if she can walk she can drive the ECV closer to her set transfer and you can park the ECV close by Thank you.

Hi, Beejie.

I love watching the EPCOT Candlelight Processional.

I have seen the EPCOT Candlelight Processional with the Candlelight Processional dining package and without the Candlelight Processional dining package.

The lines on the right side of the theater are the standby line and are first come first serve.

Here is the Candlelight Processional dining package seating area with the wheelchair/ECV section in the rear. There are 4-seat benches alternating with 2-wheelchairs/ECVs space. (This is not the rear of the rear of the theater.)

If it is a slow day for wheelchairs/ECVs, you may get one of these wheelchair/ECV spaces if they don't fill up with Candlelight Processional dining package wheelchairs/ECVs. The cast members usually escort you if you are using a wheelchair/ECV.

This is the rear of the theater with white benches and some wheelchairs/ECVs spaces at the end of the brown benches where overflow could go if not super busy with wheelchairs/ECVs.

This near the middle and you can see the cut out for the wheelchairs/ECVs spaces.

If I don't go inside the theater, I try and get a space outside near the curb and rope.

Get one of the cheaper meal packages, if you can find one at this late date.
You get a better view and a shorter wait and you are guaranteed to get in.

Whether you do the dining package or not, the first question the CM in either line will ask your friend is if she plans to transfer. Even if she can transfer, it doesn’t mean she has to and may want to base her answer on the circumstances. Generally the CM can give you a good idea of what wheelchair spaces are available. There will, obviously, always be more availability with the dining package. But for either line: if it’s crowded, you’re far back in line, and your friend can transfer, you may want to have a strategy where you go find a seat while she parks. The parking will be down along each side of the amphitheater after you enter.

Thank you all for your advice. I really appreciate it. I booked a dining package and we'll get in to the 8:15 show. She's not able to transfer easily. It's hard for her to walk far. We're really excited about going.

If she stays on her scooter you will get in the handicap line which includes wheelchairs. You need to go in the line near Japan. You will want to show up at least 45 minutes before the show starts.
