My husband & I are heading to Vegas for 3 nights after our Disneyland trip, & were trying to decide where to stay..in the past, I've stayed at Paris, Mirage, Venetian, Harrahs, Flamingo..we will be getting to LV via the Lux bus which stops right in back of Harrahs. I am thinking Palazzo, Venetian, Wynn, Mirage or Aria. Maybe even Vdarra..what's your pick & why? Thanks!

The Aria always looked cool to me, not sure if that's reason enough

It does look cool to me too, my niece and her husband always stay there - I guess I'm just used to staying on the other end of town -creature of habit ... I appreciate your opinion! Anyone else?

I love more opinions! Especially if you stayed somewhere else & Really liked it I love to know why?

Last time I went about two years I stayed at the Monte Carlo. I know it's not the highest rated hotel but I found rather low-key and relaxing.

We absolutely loved staying at the Cosmopolitan. I guess it's really more just a matter of preference as I prefer the style and theme of the Cosmo over the others.

We booked a standard room and asked for an upgrade at check-in and she upgraded us to a wraparound terrace suite that is huge and have an AMAZING view of the Bellagio fountains. We had to pay and extra $100 for it but it still ended up way way cheaper than booking the room up front. :thumbsup2

We love the Mirage but would also vote for the Venetian/Palazzo. We like that area of the Strip. Other than Emeril's Fish House in MGM(which we go to every trip& a few Mandalay Bay restaurants we want to try), there are plenty of options in that area down to the Bellagio/Paris portion of the Strip.

I want to try the Aria or Cosmopolitan next trip. Also, City Center is huge and has 4 hotel/condos along with Crystals Shopping and Restaurants. The monorail runs between there and the Bellagio. If you haven't stayed at the Bellagio, everyone should at least just once. It's our favorite!!:thumbsup2

I know I posted this a few months ago now, and I still haven't booked our hotel! We normally take the Lux Bus between Anaheim and Vegas, but this time my husband wants to drive, so I booked an Enterprise car o/w from the Katella location in Anaheim, we wanted a little bit more of a flexible schedule instead of leaving at 8:30a. One of the locations they have a rental agency at is near/at the Tropicana, or on the other end of the strip at Flamingo/Decatur. Either way they would give us a ride to our hotel. Also, we are driving our son from our hotel (DL hotel) to stay with his sister & her boyfriend, who are staying at Ho Jo's across the street from DL for one more night before they head home. So I figured we would visit them for a while, drop him off and then head to Vegas. It's more expensive than a normal one day rental because of the ow surcharge, but we like the flexibility it provides us. I looked into Avis since they have locations right in Aria & Palazzo (and I think Bellagio) but they were about $80 more than Enterprise, although if we stayed at one of those properties, it would be handy to just drop it off right there.

Anyway, even if I stayed at the Venetian before, I really liked the area, and my husband has never been (I stayed with my sister & niece for the first time in Dec. 2012) but I wouldn't mind Palazzo since they are sister properties and connected. On the other end of town the strong contenders are Aria or Bellagio, neither of which we've ever stayed at. Since we will be there in November, it may be chilly, but I've heard Aria has several large jacuzzi's which sounds great! We will be taking advantage of the spa facilities, no matter where we stay. My niece and I spent the whole day at the Canyon Ranch @ Venetian which was fantastic!

I'm going to check out rates now for all the hotels I mentioned, although I don't think any of the specials for that late in the year are out yet, so I may just hold off booking until they start cropping up! :santa:

I personally love Aria. There is a lot to see there and its a great central location on the strip. The rooms are amazing and the beds are so comfy!

Just got back home last night from a 9 night stay in Vegas. We stayed at Paris on the 23 floor with a fabulous view of the Eiffel Tower and the fountains at Bellagio, beautiful view. Love the restaurants at Paris and pool with cocktails and lunch was nice! Also try the desserts at their French pastry and coffee shop.
The high Roller ( like London eye ) is open nearby at the Quad hotel. We walked and walked and always something to see and of course stops to gamble and eat : ) Paris is very centrally located so we walked to Aria, planet Hollywood, caeser's, Bellagio and other casinos nearby
( I took so many pictures but I have no idea how to post them on here??? )
