Changing contract used on a reservation?

DVC newbie here with a booking question!
We are trying to book a reservation for mid-May 2021 at VGC, we currently have a direct contract elsewhere but just closed on a resale VGC contract that has points expiring at the end of May 2021. Ideally we'd like to use the expiring points for the reservation, but they won't be loaded into our account in time to make the reservation since we are in the 7 month window and the rooms are booking up fast. Can I book the reservation with our current direct contract points, and then change it to our resale contract when our other points load?

Are they the same use year (will they be the same membership)? It's easy to change points online as long as you don't break the home-resort rule. You just select to modify the date and re-book the same dates.

Unless they are different UYs, which is a differ membership, once loaded, you can swap points since its a 7 month booking.

You can either do it online or just cal MS and they can!
