Christmas Day Parade Airing Christmas Day on ABC-TV

Clay Aiken, LeAnn Rimes, Carlos Ponce and More Stars Join Line-Up

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- This holiday season marks
the 20th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade -- an
annual television tradition that gathers families and fans in front of their
TV sets for two hours of magical performances and holiday cheer,
Disney-style.

The 20th Annual Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade telecast airs on
ABC-TV Christmas Day from 11:00AM to 1:00PM (EST) and 10:00AM to 12:00PM
(PST).

For this milestone broadcast, Walt Disney World Resort unleashes an
unprecedented parade of talent -- pop stars and country sensations, Latin
heartthrobs and pageant royalty, the latest animated characters from
Disney's Brother Bear and -- celebrating 75 years in show business - Mickey
Mouse, himself.

And presiding over this 20-year tradition will be Regis Philbin, who has
hosted more Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parades than anyone. Joining
Regis as co-host for the 20th Annual Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade
will be his Live with Regis & Kelly co-star -- and now star of ABC-TV's Hope
& Faith -- Kelly Ripa.

Here's a sneak-peek at the 20th Anniversary Walt Disney World Christmas Day
Parade highlights ...

Since the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade began, viewers have enjoyed
an array of memorable musical performances from the biggest artists of the
day. This year's telecast continues the Parade's tuneful tradition as top
recording artists join in all the musical magic of the 20th Anniversary
edition of the Parade. In addition to Enrique Iglesias, Clay Aiken, LeAnn
Rimes, Jessica Simpson and Carlos Ponce, also slated to perform are the
musical group Jump5 ... Disney Channel favorites Raven (That's So Raven),
Christy Romano (Even Stevens/Kim Possible), Anneliese van der Pool (That's
So Raven), Orlando Brown (That's So Raven), Tahj Mowry (Smart Guy) and AJ

At the heart of the telecast -- and a Christmas Day television tradition now
two decades strong -- is the annual Walt Disney World Christmas Parade,
where favorite Disney characters take center stage for television's happiest
parade as it makes its merry way down Main Street, U.S.A., in the Magic
Kingdom. Along with Disney classic characters Mickey, Minnie, Donald,
Goofy, and Pluto, this year's parade extravaganza will include:

Disney/Pixar release Finding Nemo

* Disney Princesses Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine and Snow White.

* Notorious Disney villains Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, Jafar, Ursula,

* And, of course, topping off the parade is the man of the hour, Santa

Claus -- joined by Mrs. Claus -- parading down Main Street, U.S.A.

So, do you think any of the celebs will be "hanging" around for a couple of days after the taping? We don't check-in until Sunday, and I am wondering if I should keep my eyes open for the stars!

It was my understanding that they are taping the parade both on Saturday and on Sunday - anyone have the "facts" on that? :)

Thanks!

(Sandi - whose first day with BIG Raven fans will be Sunday) :)

I might have to tape it! Sounds great but I will be at the MK on Christmas Day.......WOOHOO!!::yes::

Regis & Kelly were talking about it this morning. I only heard part of it but she was worried about the predicted snowstorm and traveling with her kids. I'm guessing they are heading down tomorrow after the show.

Which will be filmed Friday morning the 5th.

Anyone know where and what time this will be filmed... the Circle of Life? We are going tomorrow! Also is parade being filmed in morning? CM told me 5pm, but I figured that was the reg Christmas Parade. One more thing, MK is open till 11pm Sat right... not closing early for MVMCP?

Does anyone know what time this airs on Christmas Day? I've never seen it before and I really want to. For all you lucky people who will be there, have a great trip!

I think it's usually on at 10am est. Don't quote me on that but I'm almost positive that has been the time it's been on for the past few years.

I saw the Brady Bunch people at MGM when I was there in October! That's when the Wayne Brady Show was filming at Epcot,a dn they were going to be on it the next day, so I thought what they were filming was for that. Guess they are heading back???

All of the girls were real short - I was really surprised!

The filming went well today. It was overcast all morning but then the sun came out later in the day. I don't know if it will be overcast for the filming tomorrow. If anyone was there today, I hope you enjoyed it and if you are going tomorrow, have a great time.

It depends on your local station. I saw a list of holiday programs and it's on at 11:00am here in Pittsburgh.

Each ABC station sets their own time to show the parade.

I wonder if Kelly Ripa will make it? This morning she said she couldn't head down until she finished taping "Faith & Hope" this evening.....she's got a big snowstorm and lots of delays at the NYC airports already. Tomorrow morning doesn't sound much better. Maybe it'll be Regis and Joy. ;)
