DAS booking question

We plan to park hope during our visit.

If we start our day at 1 park....can we book a DAS return for the park we plan to hop to BEFORE we go there? Basically...if we are going to hop on a bus and head over, can we book a return or do we need to wait until we're actually scanned into the park? (I'm assuming we have to wait but thought I'd ask anyway.)

Oh, and this will be in late January after you no longer need reservations and there aren't restrictions on the time in which you can hop.

No, you need to have entered the park to book a DAS Return Time at WDW. Some (very few) folks have been successful stopping at a blue umbrella on their way out of a park and requesting a time for the next park, but many others have been denied.

You need to be in the park you are hopping to before you can make a DAS Return Time in that park.
Also, only members of your group who are actually in that park can be included in the DAS Return Time. So, if some stay in the first park, you can only book times for those in the park
