DAS from Disney Springs

Hi, I want to apply for a DAS card when we get to WDW in August. We arrive at OKW in the afternoon so are planning to go to Disney Springs in the evening of that first day. Can I ask about getting a DAS card and be given one from Guest Relations at Disney Springs? If I can, does anyone know what time the kiosk closes there each evening? Thank you :)

You can only obtain a DAS from the theme park guest services. At least it was that way last September.
That is how it has always been and I am quite certain it will not change.

DAS Is only available at the Guest Relations at the Theme Parks (not at the water parks or any other place outside of the Theme Parks).

Guest Relations at each park is open whenever guests are in the park. In order to avoid a big rush of people at park opening, guests are allowed to enter the park before the official opening time, so you would be able to go to Guest Relations then.
There is often a CM just outside of Guest Relations checking to see if there are things that can be taken care of without going inside (maps, buttons, etc.). That CM sometimes has or can get an iPad to process DAS.

To make it as quick as possible:
- be prepared with a quick statement of why you are requesting DAS. What are the issues that make waiting in the regular line difficult/impossible (not the diagnosis)

- have everyone with you that you want to be included in DAS Return Times (you can add people later, but that means another trip to Guest Relations)

- have everyone’s ticket or Magicband ready to read - the CM does that to electronically link them to the DAS

- the person the DAS is being issued to will get their picture taken with an iPad. If they need preparation, you might want to discuss that. When you use a DAS Return Time, the picture shows up on a screen for the CM to verify that the person DAS was issued to is going on the attraction.
There are alternatives - such as showing ID or having another member of your group have their picture taken. But, that person or that piece of ID will need to be shown when using the Return Time.

one thing you can do is if you are going to any park but EPCOT they normily open the front a little before the park opens ( at the MK it is 8 am the other ones any were form 30-15 minutes early) since GR is at the very front of these parks you canesely go in when they atart letting people in and be in and out with in a few minutes ( follow @SueM in MN advice) if you do not get there at RD ( or EPCOT is your first park you can ask them at GR to give you a retrun time when you get your DAS, they can only do this when the park is opend and you are getting a new DAS, this way by the time you get to your first ride it should be time to ride.

Thank you so much for your great response. Lots of really useful advice for us. I didn’t realise that everyone in my group needs to be there so that would have been fun trying to round everyone up if we didn’t know!
And, as for the symptoms rather than diagnosis, that’s good to know as will give me time to think about what to say that will help the CM and not spend time waffling about information that isn’t relevant. Thank you :)

Thank you. MK is first on our list but we have an ADR at Crystal Palace for 8.00am so will have to wait until after that to go to Guest Relations. It will be worth it, though, if it can help us manage the rest of our holiday well :)

You can go ad soon as you get in before your reservation as GR opens as soon as guest are let in the park. And there should not be a problem getting there 5 or 10 minutes later
