So we got our DCL book for our first cruise.. It was not clear in the book how to specifically use these. It just said have it ready at the port. We got 2 tags per person. Does each luggage piece need a tag when embarking AND a new one when gett off? or is one tag for the whole cruise? So eac person can "check" 2 bags then?

If we use DCL transfer are these tags relevant or do we get different ones? we havent 100% decided on this.

merci

Those tags go on before you get to the port. It allows them to get your bags to your room. When you disembark, they use different tags that identify where your bags will be in the terminal. If you use DCL transfer you still need those bag tags. If you are staying at WDW and using the DCL bus they pick your bags up from your room and these tags will get them to you on the ship.

The tags have to be applied at the port, so that your luggage gets to your specific cabin. If you have more than two pieces of luggage per person, additional tags can be picked up once you arrive at port.

The night before disembarkation, you will get colored tags with characters on them. You will put them on your luggage, and place all your bags in the hall outside your cabin before 10 PM. The tags designate the place in the luggage off where you pick up your luggage after you disembark.

The same tags will be used if your use DCL transfers. If you are flying in the morning of your cruise, the tags can be attached to your luggage at your home airport, and DCL will actually pick it up at the Orlando airport and transfer it out to the ship. You can also pick up your luggage yourself, and apply the tags then, and take your bags to the DCL transport area at the airport. If you are staying at a Disney resort the night before your cruise, Bell services will come and pick up your bags, and they'll be transferred out to the ship.

They provide 2 tags per guest, which is the limit imposed in the cruise contract. However, they do not enforce and even provide extra tags at the port if you show up with extra pieces of luggage. There are no tags specific to the DCL transport. The ones you have serve both purposes.

De rien !

And the tags are only for checked luggage, which you won't see until "probably" after dinner. If you are rolling you own on, no tags needed.
