    Morning wrrwapscallions.
Not much over here, 8k run this morning in about 42, so not too shabby. Got tunes on way too loud in the house. Shrimp for dinner. Pick up the car later that's having all the dents that Lady K has put in it over the last year, as we swap it in a couple of months.

    Nice one!

Oh go on then. That's it. Work week over. Everyone Out. Last one in Mike's house (as the missus is away) has to shovel the driveway so Declan can get the car up. He's giving us all a lift home. Mike, I like my Filet basically still mooing. I'll bring a bottle of Old Weller.

    Have a great Friday chaps.

Morning all. Winter decided it wasn't done with us just yet. 40+ MPH winds yesterday and today has the wind chill in the 20's. and we are supposed to have an ice storm on Tuesday. There is warning this time unlike the snow so I anticipate no bread and eggs at the store by Sunday.
    Happy Friday.

So...you're trying to piss off a delivery driver again, eh?

I didn't, but I could've called it on Monday. Looking for a job, so I guess that's my job. Second round interview with Disney today at 1pm.

That sucks. We've been having warmer temps and rain the last few days, but I think we're supposed to get cold again either Sunday or Monday. Probably whatever front is hitting you now will be hitting us soon.

Good luck mate, fingers crossed and all that.....
:thumbsup2 today was Rap, so it was a good job my mum didn't pop in. She would not approve of such language.

On a side note the entire city is reeling from the announcement that your Commander in Chief will not be gracing our shores this February.

Top O the Mornin Dads! We closed the offices today as it looks like roads are gonna be dangerous beginning this afternoon. Ice is starting to build up which is then gonna get snow on top of that which means with the snow covering the ice and temps below freezing the ice just wont melt. The hills of Tennessee just don't allow for safe driving when ice covered. Doing a bit of work from home but basically now have a 3 day weekend. Have a good Friday gents.
Congrats in advance to DD and to reducing the parent shuttle services
Come on over. we may have to chisel the ice off the grill cover for steaks but that is completely doable. If you guys can get up the incline of my street and driveway today make sure to bring the steaks with you as I aint goin out. I have the bourbon covered, good supply of Stella and can cover some dirty martinis as well.

Morning all. We are back into freezing temps and ice on the roads. The city is shut down. I might try to get out to work later. Oldest dd turns 16 on Monday. Not much celebrating today with the ice. I told her that her gift was an extra day off from school.

She said homecoming. It's a dance with a boy either way.

    Bourbon works for most everything.

That's some revenge. Hopefully, your outlaws are better than mine.

Thanks. And, DW said homecoming. Either way, she decided not to go. Dodged that one.

Mine will be taking her permit test as soon as we can get out of the ice next week. Then, it gets real.

You won't be able to get there. The South is closed.

Oh no. You won't be able to eat French Toast during the 3 months you'll be trapped in with the blizzard.

Good luck. We're all counting on you. Land that big executive job and hire us for some high paid assistant jobs.

Hey guys. Nothing much today, doing the laundry from the trip and cleaning out the fridge. Since we have a washer and dryer in the room, we don't come back with much that needs cleaning. Basically just what we wore on the drive back. Thrown in the washer so that item is already checked off.

Everyone facing that miserable weather up there stay warm and stay safe.

Talk to Jay. He had issues with the demo vehicles outside but decided to give it a shot anyway and he was able to ride.

    Congrats Declan!

Winners all around. Well, except SIL.

Should be pretty good. Let the excitement build.

    Good luck Bubba.

    Have a good weekend Mate.

That sucks all the way around.

Good luck. One suggestion, I wouldn't mention you know any of us.

I heard the Queen was in tears.

Hope you are stocked up with supplies... Bread-check, eggs-check, beverages-check.

Oh the drama of being a teenager. My guess is you may not be out of the woods just yet.

All this is bringing back memories. Good luck.

Well, thanks guys for the well wishes, but it's a moot point (at least for today). Evidently, they re-scheduled if for Tuesday, but didn't bother to let me know.

Homecoming is for high schools in the states.
It's for all the people who have graduated from that school to come home for the game (hence homecoming). It is, in our high schools, also a time where there is a King and Queen elected from the school for this event so they become the homecoming King & Queen. Someone else can refute this if they'd like, but it's usually the most popular male and female of the school that are elected and they are part of the half time festivities for this game. Since it's done during a football game, many times the King is a player (often the QB) and the Queen is a cheerleader, but not always.

There's usually a dance as well during homecoming (after the game).

It's been a long time since I was in high school, but there are activities all week (can't remember what we had in my school) culminating with the homecoming game where the King and Queen are announced and then the homecoming dance after the game.

Weather Channel has someone in Louisville and it looks ugly out there. David Nicely posted that Jim Cantore is camping in Indy so he says they are screwed. Stay safe Norm and all you guys up there.

See. Now you know what it's like translating all your English into American. Don't even get me started on Canadian to American. :lmao:

It's bad. I didn't go to either job today. Wrecks everywhere. Semi jack-knifed on bypass. We have electricity, heat, food, and French toast. All is good.

    Evening guys.

Sitting in a hotel room in beautiful Truro Nova Scotia. (I'm not sure if anyone has ever said that before).

Declan's team is here playing in a tournament today and tomorrow. They went 2-0 in their pool and play on the semi tomorrow at Noon. Declan sat out both games today after hurting his foot last night in practice. The coach said he would rather have him ready for their 1st place league showdown on Tuesday. I'm not sure if he will play tomorrow or not.

Hope all you guys south of here are staying safe, I heard you are getting a big one. Tomorrow could be an adventure here. There are rain, flash freezing, freezing rain warnings for everything between here and home so I'm not sure where we will be sleeping tomorrow night.

Stay safe all; I'm going to finish my beer.

    Nope. You're the first.

Actually, had really good fish & chips there at Murphy's last year. :)

Sorry to hear that. Hope he heals up quickly.
