Congrats to Declan's team. Sorry to hear about his foot. Hope it heals quickly.

We're cold again here and may have some patches of black ice since it rained just yesterday and day before. I'm sure it's not as bad as what y'all have. Stay warm

    Morning gents.
Another cold one this morning. But it'll be sunny once the sun comes up, so there's that.
Today and two more days and then I'll get a couple off... maybe.
    Gotta get the tree down.
Taking a 10' tree down is not as much fun as you'd think....... okay maybe you do think.
Could be worse. Putting it up is a pain!

    Stay safe all.

Stay safe getting home in that mate, and all the boys in the South look after yourselves.

    :rotfl:Fair do's.

Morning boys from a relatively calm London. We've got major Disney withdrawals, so we are having Ohana dinner tomorrow, and have you tube doing all the resorts. Beach club is now out for the DVC trip as it sold out this week, so it's now a toss up between Savannah View at AKL, Boardwalk, or Wilderness Lodge. I would do BLT in a heartbeat, but SWMBO doesn't want to do 2 monorail resorts in the same hit. The definition of a first world issue.
Hope you guys are all hunkered down, all the best from the mother country. Keep us posted.

Since you have small kids, they'd probably enjoy AKL.
For me personally, WL is the best and (I've heard...will find out in a little more than a month) the Boardwalk is great.
Maybe I missed some acronyms somewhere, but SWMBO?

Its just the remoteness of it. Don't really want to hire a car, and have always has bad bus experiences in AKL.

You should be ashamed of yourself. Every married male should have this memorized and tattooed on their bodies somewhere.

Happy Saturday. Shoveled half the driveway and oldest dd finished the other half. Made homemade chicken noodle soup for the family. Will try to stay home and enjoy the warmth.

Not much a match between Tottenham vs Everton. May watch some NFL later.

Hope is foot is better. Enjoy the beer.

Still sounds like work. Good luck.

Boardwalk is my home resort, so I'd stay there. Same walking distance to parks and restaurants like Beach Club. You don't get SAB, but still a nice pool, great water slide, and excellent community hall. I liked Wilderness Lodge, but not DW. The trees made her nose run.

Afternoon Gents. Got all the errands done this morning so now watching Florida play Ole Miss in basketball. Waiting for the playoffs to start.

Problem is I didn't take a single picture. That is a first for me. The kid has some on her phone so I'll see if she can send me some.

Smart to stay off the roads, I saw some bad accidents on the news.

Congrats to Declan and the team. Hope he heals up soon.

You can't go wrong with any of those. I think it depends on what you plan do do on the stay. Each one offers easier access to a different park. BWV - Epcot,Studios...

Not the fantastic Rip Roarin' High Scorin' Cockney Irons winning 4-1 away?
Yep, I think so mate, let's hope its still available on Monday.
Aren't we all mate. I've got a battle for the remote on my hands. It might be time to decamp to the front room.

Sun came out this afternoon and helped clear out the light coat of ice / snow we had. Our side of the street melted but not the other side as it’s in the shade, temps in the teens again though. Enjoying bachelor time with playoff games today and hope all are having a good weekend.
Good to hear all safe and no electric problems as that makes these conditions dang unbearable.

    Evening all.

We made it half way home but decided it was safer off the roads than on them. Things were looking good until the temperature dropped about 12 degrees in a span of a couple of kilometres and all that wet started to freeze. Did some fishtailing at one spot going about 100 kph, luckily Declan and his buddy were sleeping so there wasn't much screaming. Unfortunately one of the other players and his dad did have an accident. Both OK I think but lots of damage. I'm waiting for them to get to the hotel to find out.

The other unfortunate thins was that they lost in the final.

On another note - I hate the Eagles and the Hawks should be embarrassed.

Sounds scary mate. If your staying off the roads a medicinal beer or two might be in order? Thoughts for the guys in the accident. Bad luck to Dec on the game. Did he get to play?
I'm debating watching the Titans, it's already past 1am here....

No he tried to convince the coach to let him play this morning but was told these games don't mean anything and he wanted him ready for the 1st place showdown on Tuesday.

Just finished beer 1, about to open beer 2. And go check on the other family.

No, he's great. I like the clown. Keeps out the tourists. :lmao:

Bad news on the road conditions and the loss.

As for football, after the 2nd wrong penalty call on the Titans, I turned it off. Just can't stand watching the greatest cheaters of all time. It's not like Tenessee had much of a chance anyway.

Morning boys from a bit of an overcast London. 5 mile run in, looking forward to Shrimp and Steak Skewers. Really fancy a beer, but will forego. Ma and her partner round, so I'll definitely be a few Wine bottles down by the end of the day. Took the boy to Church Parade and now just chillin before I start to cook. We found out what the issue was on the drains. Next door put a fence up as soon as they moved in 4 months ago, and their dum dum contractor cracked the pipe and then poured concrete on it, which has set inside the pipe. So Lady K made the very salient point that in the words of Cousin Eddie, "Our sh#tter is full".

We have Shaun Gayle, the safety from the 85 Bears on our feed, and I agree with him, that they are now trying to officiate from New York. The completed catch under control reviews are driving me nuts. I fell asleep about 2, which was as NE were on the 5 yard line just before the half. I woke up at 4 on the sofa.
