After dinner? Let's see. Every night in the Walt Disney Theatre are Broadway-caliber shows designed to entertain the entire family. The Buena Vista Theatre has terrific movies, although I tend to frequent other venues onboard ship.
The adult cabaret shows are truly enjoyable, as well as the dueling pianos. I enjoyed attending both the family and adult cabaret shows (same entertainer(s)/different hours), but then again I am rather easy to please...
You can schedule a massage in The Buena Vista Spa, or perhaps play a couple of games of shuffleboard and/or ping pong with the entire family. Dance events are held often as well as a cooking and a nagavational learning series.
As TinkerBellPixie stated, you can always attend the one gambling event at Disney: jackpot bingo. The CMs keep the "gamblers" well entertained throughout all losses!
There is an adults-only nightclub, but being a single parent my intention on a cruise is to spend more time with my son - not less. I never spent any time in the sports bar either, but your husband might find it enjoyable.
And as far as dinner is concerned, please remind your husband about the restaurant rotation available on a
Disney cruise. Animators Palate will astound most everyone.
Obviously, the after-dinner options available are as varied as each cruiser. My forms of relaxation may not meet your husband's, but whether it be family togetherness or individual pursuits a Disney cruise will provide each guest the (reasonable) limits imposed by their own imagination...
I hope your DH is willing to try. All the best to you.
