We've had a personalized plate for at least 20 years.

My mom had one that said MOMNRS1 (Mom Nurse) because she was an OB nurse for many many years. Till she forgot to renew here license one year and did not get caught for 11mths. By then it was much cheaper to start over then pay for both the last year and the next year at once.

I don't have a personalized but I do have one of the PF Pet Friendly ones that IL does.
