When we came out of the Little Mermaid ride, it was raining pretty good. Lots of people heading out of the park. We wanted to head over to Disneyland.....so we started splashing our way thru the Grizzly Peak Recreation Area. Let's just say it's really weird to see Grizzly River Run empty.....except for the rain water & puddles.....lol

We cross the esplanade and head into Disneyland......I had to chuckle.....they only had one small area open as an entrance & lots of turnstiles open for exits!!

We took the train into New Orleans..........

We headed to Big Thunder Mt RR.....as I have to get another ride on here before we leave. It pretty much was a walk on (of course it was raining.....). So we took a ride, exited & quick stepped to the entrance & took another ride!!

It can rain at night to keep everything green & such.......but give me sunshine during the day!!! If it only was that easy.........

After 2 wet rides on the wildest ride in the wilderness, we headed to Fantasyland. Ty had pretty much done every single ride.....but he hadn't been on Casey Jr (the lines were always super long)......but thanks to the rain....we were able to get on with a very short wait.

I was going to try and mesh Ty's and my pics from the ride....but it started getting confusing and since I don't know the entire layout by heart....I decided to just show you my pictures from the ride & the next post will be Ty's pictures from the ride. (much easier that way...lol)

That could be......from what I've heard from other people when they've been there in the rain.....they say the place empties out & it's pretty much walk on to the rides. I had to laugh at everyone running to the exits.......even though I wasn't happy it was raining.....if I paid to go to Disneyland, I surely wouldn't let the water in the sky keep me from my vacation!! My biggest concern of it raining on this day, was having to get on the plane in wet clothes. Luckily I thought ahead & put a dry pair of jeans & socks in my carry on stuff so I could switch out before catching our cab to the airport!!

I have yet to ride Casey Jr. but did ride Storybook Lands, and I loved it. The scenery in that area is so pretty. Love all the miniature houses and things.

Everything was empty!! I used to love Storybook Canal Boats....but it just seems like they're rushing through it now.....hard to get pics. We actually got better pics from the train. The details on those miniatures is amazing!! Wish I could go through it really slowly so I could see & enjoy all the sets!

It sure does.....I had never experienced rain there before....so I was really shocked by it!

Casey Jr & the miniatures is really a cute ride....I just wish it was open during Magic Mornings.

After getting off Casey Jr, we took one last walk thru Sleeping Beauty's castle. Ty got some pictures on the back side of the castle.

We decided to ride the Jungle Cruise. The line was super short & as we were waiting to load our boat.........

We're watching water pouring off the roof tarp onto the center of the bench seat on the right side of the boat. So guess where we're asked to sit......yuppers, you got it.......right where all that water was just pouring down. Now, it's raining....so a little damp seating is to be expected....but I was a bit irked to be asked to sit there. The CM flipped the tarping up so it quit pouring down but was annoyed that I didn't want to sit there. He goes "Maam (um, I hate that term!) all the seats are wet, it's raining out".......me responding......"I understand the rain making the seats wet, but you just had a waterfall pouring off the roof unto my seats". Ty sits down & I sit on the very edge of the seat. (real comfy.....not). I was so pissed off.....if I could have gotten by the CM to get off, I would have.

Ty & I did manage to get a couple pics on the ride....but I think we both just wanted to get off.....sitting in a pool of water was not a highlight for our trip. The tiger..........

I couldn't wait to get off......no one else was asked to sit in THAT wet of a seat.....heavy sigh~~ kinda ruined it for me.....hopefully I'll be over it before I have a chance to ride it again. (yup, I can hold a grudge for a while......)

So at this point....I just want to head back to the motel so I can put dry pants on & catch our cab. We notice Aladdin standing in his Oasis......no one there except the character escort. So we go in & say hello!!

On to Main Street USA for one last time this trip. I notice this in the window of one of the shops........I MUST HAVE THIS!!!!! I didn't have room (or money) to buy it.....but if any REALLY NICE, WONDERFUL, AWESOME, FAIRY GODMOTHER wants to get me something......this would be it!!!!
I LVE this Cinderella doll......absolutely stunning!!!!! (I don't usually get this excited over things....but I keep thinking about that doll!!!!)

We head out & go to do our final photopass pic in front of the Floral Mickey & it's Ty's friend from Tumblr that we ran into at closing time at DCA. She was our photographer this time.

We say goodbye & sadly walk thru the exit turnstiles and walk back to the Ramada Maingate. We called and arranged to have a cab there at 4:45pm to pick us up. We get back to the motel & collect all of our luggage, I pull out my dry clothes & use their restroom to change. It felt great to get out of those wet clothes!!!!

As we waited, I noticed this print in the lobby of the motel.......I like it!!

Our taxi (same driver that drove us from the airport) arrives right on time, we load up & head to the airport. Check in goes smoothly & I finally make it thru security without having to open up my carry on.....I remembered to NOT have my toiletries in my carry on.......lol We head to our gate & settle in for our wait. We share a McDonald's meal and then it's time to get on the plane. The rain continued as we were preparing to leave.

The flight had a few bumps (I hate the feeling when your stomach drops with the turbulance) but for the most part.....went as good as to be expected. Here we are coming into Portland.

Mike & Nick were a little late leaving Philomath....so Ty & I had to wait for a short time before they arrived to pick us up. We drop Nick off at home & thank him for helping watch the kids in our absence & then we're on our way home. We get home after midnight & our happy to be home and in our own beds.

The trip was a blast.....lots of great memories!! Even with a wet last day......the good far outweighed the bad. That's what makes Disney so special......even a bad day or experience is soon forgotten when you see all the *+*+*Pixie Dust*+*+* surrounding you. There's time for reality when you exit the parks.....while you're in them.....allow yourself to be fully immersed in the magic, the fantasy, the adventure & the possibilities!!

Yes he could have been nicer about it......I mean, yes....all the seats were wet to some degree......but this had standing water on it.....yuck!

I'm sure I could order the doll through the World of Disney......might get Mike to ok an early birthday present.....real early.......lol

I guess I never paid much attention to that....but you're right....Stitch isn't in WoC.....at least not anything I've seen.
