You're right, of course.
To the OP, I'd look at the packages that DirecTV and Dish offer and then choose the cheapest option that meets your needs. While I prefer DirecTV's DVR, Dish also has a DVR that is well liked by many.
I would also look at OTT providers like Hulu Live, Sling, YouTube TV, DirecTV Now, and others. They may meet your needs for a cheaper price, with no contracts.
