hello - i was wondering if there's a college student-age board for us college students? maybe i just haven't found it yet....there's so many posts etc! i noticed the teen board and adult/solo etc. thanks - steven

Welcome to the Adult/Solo Board, loeber. We don't have a dedicated board for college students. There are college students on the teen board and you're welcome to visit here. You might want to visit boards for specific topics also (dining, resorts, theme parks, etc).

thanks for the info...do you know, is there a big enough demand to start a college-age board type deal?

I'm a college student and I convinced some friends to spend their spring break in Disney with me in March :)

wow, how did you convince them to go for spring break?! i find it very hard to get my friends to want to go.

My DBF and I have both just graduated from college this December and will be taking our graduation trip to The World in Feb 2004 and we are stoked. We are really excited about going to Cirque and setting up a Fantasmic Dinner Package. Pleasure Island was kewl when I went two years ago. A little bummed about Alien Encounter being taken out. Anyone have any recommendations for 20 somethings?

We are just too excited. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Welcome to the DIS and the Adult/Solo Board, Jessiana. Don't miss Wishes (the new fireworks at the MK). It is a spectacular show for all ages.

When I first joined the DIS, I was pretty bummed there wasn't a college board either. I definitely can't see myself fitting in on the Teen board, and the Adults/Solo board doesn't have the gear I'm looking for either.

I convinced my DBF to go for our Spring Break last March and I'm an annual passholder until this March. I've already made 4 trips on this pass. It would definitely be nice to talk to some other college students though!

My first trip to Disney World was actually with my ex-bf who wanted to goto Orlando cause he used to be stationed there when the naval base was still in existence. I was kind of trying to think of a way for the two of us to go somewhere special together to spark up our 3 year relationship. Well, Disney was the talk of an old friend of mine who still takes his family every other year, so I thought I'd check it out. So thus we got our trip. The interesting part was that I met my DBF the day before I left for Orlando with my ex. I told myself as the plane took off that I would try everything in my power to enjoy and be romantic and spark some fire. But on the first night we had scrounged up a reservation at Nine Dragons and walked around World Showcase at Epcot. Well, we were surprised by the parade but kept walking, then about when Illuminations began we were standing up on the second floor of the building Teppanyaki is in at Japan.
I was so moved by the presentation and all the excitement that the tears started streaming down my smiling face, but my ex stared at me with a confused look on his face and just let me be by myself. This is what I call a romantic sweet Disney moment ruined. Throughout the rest of the trip, we both had fun, but not together, we fought and never seemed to want anything to do with the other. The redeeming factors of this story are first, I had a blast and have not stopped dreaming of going back since, my current DBF called me 3 times on that 4 day trip, and finally guess who I ended up with? :)

I'm a college jr, and I am taking 7 of my friends to disney for spring break this year. Actually, we've gone every year since 2002. The typical "go to Ft. Lauderdale and drink all day" spring break doesn't really appeal to us though, so I guess we're unusual.

I wish there was a college board too... or even just a 20-something board. I don't really fit in with the teen crowd (even when I was a teen, I didn't fit in there lol) but I don't fit in with the "solo/mature adult" board or the "family" boards either. So I kinda hop around.

I'm in college and I'll be going to WDW during my spring break in March with my b/f. :sunny: I can't wait to go!

Hey guys, I don't know if it will help, but make sure to put in the survey that you would like to see a college board! I made sure to add it in mine...Hope this helps!!

I think that a college or 20 something board would be awesome! I would put this in the survey but I already took it and didn't think of it. I too was always one of those people that didn't fit in with the typical teen. So I don't really fit in there either. BTW I think I am addicted to this website. LOL I applied for the WDWCP a few days ago and I go to my presentation on 2/25. I can't wait. If for some reason I don't get excepted this time I WILL apply until I do. I am determined!!! :)

I'm a college student who only takes my college friends each year. I would LOVE to see a college board. I have no interest in drinking all night spring breaks. I'm going this March also! Hope to see you guys there!

I am a recent college-grad, and I ADORE Disney World. My friends think I am a freak, but I planed a trip this past august for them and they had a great time. I think a college/20 somethings board would be cool.

Does anyone know anything about the Disney MBA program for grad students by the way?

Thanks, Kim

All of my co-workers think I'm insaine, I've been bringing in one piece of Disney stuff each day(different each day of course). On the Friday before I leave(I leave on a Sat.) I'm gonna wear my Mickey Ears. Am I nuts? ::yes::

I also keep watching parts of the new Disney travel DVD over and over again. I sleep clinging to my Sorcerer Mickey Doll. My DBF and I occasionally look at each other and start bouncing up and down like children saying "We're going to Disney World!" over and over. I started watching The Magical World of Disney on Saturdays and House of Mouse on the weekend days much more frequently. I've had my suitcase out for a week now(three weeks before we leave). I keep trying to rebudget to get just a few more Disney Dollars. I check my e-mail twice a day to see if anyone posted on these boards.

I'M GOING INSAINE!!!!!!!!

So, as I was asking, am I nuts?

::yes::

:bounce:  :wave2:  :yo-yo: :Pinkbounc :hyper:

Absolutly NOT! I would be the same way!!!! I mean for goodness sake, I am almost that excited about just going to the Presentation for the WDWCP and I don't even get to go to FLA. I love The Mouse and Disney!!

Have a fun trip!!! BTW I have Mickey Ears that light up! Got them @ WDW! They are awesome!

No way are you going overboard. I count up when I'm bored exactly how long till my next trip. Right now I'm at 24 days! I had to postpone my trip in Jan about 7 days before we left....it was heartbreaking! And the anticipation just got worse! But I can't wait. I'm sooooo excited. I call my best friend every day and tell her in ___ days we will ______ at Disney World! (insert things like feeling G-Force at Aerosmith's Rockin Roller Coaster, getting bugged at "It's Tough To be a Bug", Dining like royalty at Cinderella's Royal Table) She loves it and gives little clues, since she's never been, to what we can do. I do it with other disney fanatic friends for fun, see who can come up with the best one. HA HA HA sometimes I worry if i'm a little over the top with disney.:bounce:

College Student here :wave2:

Only person I could get to go was my old ex-girlfriend, so I will be going solo this Spring Break/Summer :p . Riding my bike from Dallas, Texas to Florida is just the relaxation I need from my first year at college. :teeth:

I'll be there with 2 of my college buddies March 15-19, where green and I'll say hello. Hoping the crowds aren't to bad but who cares, after this semester I need a break and Disney is the best place. Can't wait!
