do we need any costumes?

I thought I've seen something on these boards about dressing up at night for seventies or 80's night, and what about the kids, do they ever get to drwss like favorite disney character?

On our recent cruise, we saw many little girls dressed in their Disney 'Princess' dresses at dinner - especially on formal night.

If your going on the Halloween cruise you can dress up in just about any costume you like.

There is a 70's Disco Night, they put on a show using people from the audience and they do dress them up like the Village People. You can take your Disco clothes and join in.
Kids dress up but not so much as characters, mostly little girls, as ppiew has stated, in the "Princess" dresses. We have seem some little boys in Buzz costumes at dinner.

BTY- Halloween aboard one of the Disney ships is really a HOOT!!!!

I have been on 7 DCL cruises and never saw any guests dress up for the 50, 70, or 80's nights....the cruise staff dresses up and picks some people out of the audience and provide costumes for them....bon jovi, the Go-Go's, Peter Gabriel, Gloria Gaynor, John Travolta, etc.

Here is what my son and his friend looked like as Bon Jovi and his drummer and my daughter as one of the Go-Go's for battle of the bands on 80's night....

Most people wear regular club or casual attire to these nights.

You are welcome Ginger!!! My teens really had a ball onboard and can't wait to participate again in whatever they can this May when we cruise!!!

The only funny thing is....the girls have to take just about everything off when they participate in being a Go Go. They give them the towels and the girls change in the Ladies Room. My DD kept hoping the towel would not fall off!!! The male CM's of the cruise staff were funny when they told them it has not happened yet...but they were hoping!!!

MJ - that staff member dressed as the nerd on 50's night looks like SEAN! I remember him from our last Disney cruise. He's HILARIOUS. Was this a recent photo? Is he still on board? We're doing the Western in May and would love to see him again!

It sure is Sean!!! He was awesome...that pic was from last August, but when we sailed this past January he was on vacation and we heard he was coming back. We are sailing on the 5/17 Eastern and are hoping he will be there again. He really is FANTASTIC as the NERD!!!!
