The Dream Castle at Disneyland Resort Paris is located in Marne La Vallee 10 minutes away from the parks by free shuttle bus.
The hotel has its own "mascots" which walk around the hotel at breakfast times etc.
Shuttles busses run every ten minutes during peak times so if you are unlucky enough to find there is no room on one another should arrive shortly.
We had previously stayed at the Holiday Inn and My Travel Explorers which are all in the same location next door to each other.

We decided on this hotel this time as we wanted to try it after travelling past it on other trips as it looked a lovely hotel.

Luckily we also got a fantastic deal through Expedia for 5 night for £335.30 this worked out to be at £61.18 per night for a family of four including breakfast. This was during June half term 2007 (Monday to Saturday)

RECEPTION AREA:

When we arrived we walked through the large sliding doors, straight in front of you is a statue of a king, behind him are a couple of “thrones” which the children loved sitting on for photos.
To add to the castle theme in the reception area there is a sword in the stone (like at the Disney Park near the castle) a ball pit for younger ones, a carousel ride, balloon ride, and further through the reception area pool tables.

To the left at the end is the large reception with check in, check out and information. To the left of the reception is information desk and baggage storage. Plenty of seating is placed around all the reception areas.
Information boards and leaflets about the hotel, Disney Village, Wild West Show, things to do in Paris to name a few are available.

The check in was very quick (as there was no one else there) and the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke very good English.

To the back of the reception area are outside doors leading to the gardens.

DISNEY SHOP

To the right of the entrance is a small Disney shop that had a good selection of Disney merchandise.

HOTEL IN GENERAL

The whole of the hotel was decorated in the castle theme with good attention to detail all the doors had metal ironwork on them (sorry can't think what they actually are!) walls had flags on them even the carpets had sword designs on them. It was very clean and well maintained. Great for children and adults.

OUTSIDE AREA.

Very well laid out patio area, plant pots and water feature, leading lovely gardens with plants and flowers leading out to large grassed area with a small play park and beyond this a large lake.
The gardens are lovely to walk round after the noise and crowds of the parks it was lovely and peaceful just what you needed after a lovely meal and wine! There is loads of space for the kids to run around (even after being on their feet all day they still have the energy!)

RESTURANT:

This was definitely the best hotel we have stayed in for breakfast.
Firstly when you arrive at the restaurant you are shown to a table by very friendly staff (despite being rushed off their feet) which we found great after being at other hotels where you had to find a table.
If the resturant has no tables free they open up the evening resturant which is just across the corridor (you do have to go into the breakfast room to get your food but coffee pots are on the table) this made such good sence it meant no one was left waiting for tables. The other room is actually nicer to sit in as much much quieter but we only got to eat it here once durring our stay.
The tables were also set up with paper table mats, salt pepper etc, and always clean! Obviously due to the hotel being full it was very very busy but after the first morning you got used to where everything is and there was actually never a queue for anything it was always very quick moving. Staff filled up hot breakfast, meats, and breads constantly so there was never anything missing!
Breakfast had a great selection of food; there was a hot selection of sausages, bacon, beans, fried potatoes (either in cubes or slices) and scrambled eggs. Then a cold selection of cereals (coco pops, frosties, cornflakes etc) fresh fruit salad (proper fresh fruit which was really lovely including pineapple, melon, apple, orange etc ) also separately pineapple rings, apricots and peaches as well as dried fruits, figs, prunes etc. Then there were cold meats and cheeses (ham, different sausages, turkey a couple of different slices of cheeses) and a selection of salad! Lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes!
Then different breads for toast with huge selection of jams and marmalade and nutella!
French stick, rolls, croissants and chocolate pastry and buns!
Drinks available orange juice, apple juice, milk, water, tea and coffee.
Very good breakfast.

EVENING MEAL

On our last night we decided to eat in the restaurant it was a buffet with good selection of cold sea food, hams, meat, and fruit. Followed by another good selection of hot dishes including a beef, chicken, lamb, steak and rice dish.
Desert was a lovely big selection of well deserts....mmm.
It was a nice meal in lovely surroundings but expensive spent more in here than in the Disney village.

SWIMMING POOL

Pool was okay quite small with a small slide but it was so cold, I actually just sat on the side and watched
(Did go in the hot tub which was warm)

Well that’s the basics of the hotel as I have posted so many pictures I can't add my room review (and photos) on this thread as I can only post 25 photos per thread, so will have to do that on another thread. (hopefully tommorrow if I have time!) Not sure if they can be merged later?

*~* DREAM CASTLE BEDROOM REVIEW *~*​

BEDROOM

Our room was 2044 on the 2nd floor, not far from the reception area; room was a good size and clean, tidy and nicely subtly decorated in a castle theme.
The room had a very comfy bed (only two pillows and two custions) with bedside shelving and phone. Lights on both sides of the bed. Headboard was decorated with a sun design.
Large armchair by the window.
The room contained a desk with large mirror above with seat and bin.
The TV had a clock and alarm on it, but only one English TV channel BBC news (not that we got any time to watch it anyway!) and stood on a unit containing a fridge, and storage space above.
One wardrobe with some hangers and enough space for a short stay. Also in the wardrobe was a safe.
There are no drawers in the room which I would have liked for underwear!
There was a suitcase stand and another full length mirror.
The room had coat hooks which were very handy to put waterproofs on out of the way!
The rooms also have doors (lockable) into the next room so I presume you can have ajoining rooms.
The only thing missing was tea and coffee making facilities, although not a problem to us we took our own kettle etc. It was handy to have a fridge for the milk and cold drinks.
The children had bunk beds which were perfect for our age children, with a curtain, which means if you are not to tired and don't want to sleep at the same time as the children you can still have a light on etc with out disturbing them.
Both bunks had their own light which they could turn on.

BATHROOM

The bathroom contained a bath with shower, a glass shower door, toilet, sink with a large mirror, shaving or make up mirror, hairdryer and little extras like tissues and hand wash.
There was also body wash in the shower/bath.
Shower was easy to operate and always hot!

Our room was to the right side of the hotel and looked out to the hotel opposite (holiday inn).
Window had two large openings which open right up and back, really nice to relax in with the windows wide open looking out at the moon!
The curtains were quite heavy and blocked out the morning sun!

<The room was air conditioned with easy controls, although we never had to use it.
All in all a very good hotel, loved the theming, would highly recommend it, fantastic value for money and we would definitely stay there again​

No time slots for breakfast, another thing I liked! I don't like being told what time I have to eat. (although it does work the other way, if we did have to be up for a time slot probably would have got up earlier!)

We preferred it, breakfast was better and far more organized, hotel was just that bit more "special". Hard to explain but a bit more luxurious than HI.
I preferred the themeing and so did the children; it seemed more “Disney” as it’s a castle theme!
Staff were great, very helpful and friendly even the waiters at breakfast! (Not that they weren't at HI).
Rooms were very similar but no tea / coffee making at Dream Castle but a fridge, at HI it's the other way around.

Staying at Dream Castle for one week starting 6th of August, so your post is very welcome. Just a couple of questions; Is there air conditioning in the bed rooms and what camera was used to take the photo's. I'm looking to replace my 6meg pixel and yours takes excellent pictures.

Hello yes there is air con in the bedrooms.
The photos were taken by two cameras. My camera (easy point and take!) a Fijifilm finepix v10 (5.1megapixel) and my husbands expensive Canon 350d (8 megapixel).
Mine is a lovely little camera that fits in my pocket he has to carry a bag around all day! (but it does take fantastic pictures)

I would have to agree with Liz and her great review of the Dream Castle hotel as i have also stayed there twice, Feb'07 and June'07.
I have just got back from the New York hotel Aug'07 and my DP prefered the Dream Castle!!!, even with the shuttle bus.
