DVC Dining Plan Question

Have any of you split your reservation into two parts, whether it be for change of resort or room size and chose to get the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) for part of the stay, but not the entire stay?

I'm assuming that this would be possible, because you technically end up having separate reservations.

I have a trip planned for December for 7 total nights, broken out for Sunday through Thursday (5 nights) in a 1 bedroom and Friday and Saturday (2 night)in a Studio. I would like to try the DDP for the first 5 nights, but not get it for the last 2. I figure that we will probably be getting tired of eating by then.

Please let me know if any of you have tried this, and if so were allowed to do so by Disney?

Thanks!

If you have 2 sep. reservations, yes, that can be done.

I have for June, having 2 separate reservations, one ressies for 3 nights in a studio, moving to a Grand villas the next 7 nights on an another reservation, and we just have the DDP for the 7 nights only. No problem!!! :thumbsup2
