Early Check in

If you do the online early check in, do you still have to stop at the front desk?

Or will you get a text with a site # and you go straight in?

Thanks

You may have to stop at the front, depending on if your site is done or not. Some people have gotten their texts while driving in, our site the last 3 years was not ready. All depends on when you get there, and what site they have placed you in. If you get there early, you may be able to get an open site and not have to wait, but it is a roll of the dice. Also depends on what day you check in as some are busier than others.

If you get your site with your text number and have done the early check-in, there is no requirement to stop at the front lobby building. Once you get the text, your Magic Bands will open the automatic arm gates at the front and back for "returning guests" (the front gate has a parallel gate manned by a security guard who will admit you if you haven't gotten the text yet and see if you are on the list for that day's arrivals).

We have driven in and gone straight to our site.

The only reason to visit the lobby is to get the check-in packet of information (Fort map, movie/recreation calendar, park time guides for that week, the glossy brochures, etc.). If you don't want that stuff, no need to stop at all. I've come back later in the day or next morning and gotten it before though.

Part of the Fort experience is checking in at the drive through lanes.
