I'm doing a trial hair and makeup on my next weekend trip to Disney. I figure since I'll be all dolled up we should do engagement pictures that day. It'll just be the two of us so I was thinking we could buy the Memory Maker (Can you buy this for one day only?) and go to all the photographers in the parks for some professional looking pictures.

Has anyone done this before? How'd it turn out?

I haven't, but that's a perfect idea to me! I do not know about memory maker for a day, but I believe that you can. have you tried the Disney site for memory maker? It should be on there.

I will, the site is glitching for me and saying Stitch ate the page. Glad my idea doesn't sound crazy :)

You know, I hate it when it does that, but i LOVE Stitch so it still makes me laugh, lol.

No, it's not crazy at all and I may steal your idea for February when we are there for our planning session and getting my trial. If you don't mind.

If possible, it's best to do those photos with the person who will be shooting your wedding. That way you know exactly what your hair and makeup will look like in your wedding photos.

We used the Roots, and they included an engagement session in our package. If you're using Disney Fine Art Photography, you can schedule an engagement portrait session and request the photographer you requested for your wedding, though there's no guarantee you'll get that person on either day.

I don't think professional engagement photos will be in the budget. The wedding is costing a lot and we are doing the portrait session in Magic Kingdom too. We are going to use Disney photographers. I gave them a list of names to request, but haven't heard back yet on who I'll get. I'm guessing it would cost a lot to have them take these. I'm okay with nothing too fancy for these, I care most about the Magic Kingdom photos we'll have in our wedding attire.

We did a mini MK photo package. It was about $200 foor 20 mins. We got several good shots.

Oh that's not bad. Where were the photos in the park? Was it during normal park hours?

In the rose garden to the right of the castle. During park hours, there are multiple times available. Your photos could have guests In the background.

Where did you book this? Was it through the Disney Fine Art Photography?

It looks like the Magic Kingdom one is only Monday, Wednesday and Friday, if I'm reading it correctly. Won't be able to do that since we'll be there on a weekend. Could look into doing it at a resort, that seems to have more flexibility.

The only recommendation is to take lots of pictures, especially when you have people who may be (un)intentionally photobombing you.
