Sign ups will open at 8am CST, Tuesday, Sept 25, and close at noon CST on Friday, Sept 28.
Due date is Jan 23, 2013.
Newbies are welcome. If this is your first swap on this board, I will limit you to 3 groups.
After sign ups, please pm me your name, mailing address, email address and phone number (I will only use these in an emergency). I will send the same information to you.
Dates to remember:
Oct 2 -- verify groups and pm info
Oct 26 -- 1st check in
Nov 16 -- 2nd check in
Dec 14 -- 3rd check in -- detailed progress report and last call for angels
Jan 19 -- mail by date
Jan 23 -- due date
If you forget a check in, I will pm you a reminder. After 48 hours with no response, I will request an angel for your spots. If you will be on vacation or out of town, please check in early.
Packing & Mailing instructions:
Please use a ziploc bag for each person in your group. For the 2 letter groups, use jewelry or snack size bags. For the single element groups, use a bag large enough to seal your piece inside. Label each of these bags as show below. Place the bags for each group into a larger, labeled bag -- quart size for the letters and gallon (or larger) for the single elements.

Please include return postage & a mailing address label. If you want delivery confirmation, include $.70, as well as, a completed dc slip.
You may send to me by any method you choose before January 3. After this date, you must send by priority mail with delivery confirmation. I will return your goodies using flat rate boxes/envelopes from the USPS. The rates for these are: envelopes $5.15, small box $,5.35 med/standard box $11.35, large box $15.45. Please do not include the click-it/ship-it postage as it is only good on the day it is printed and from the location it is printed.
If you have any questions on mailing or bagging and tagging, please ask. Your packages will be returned much quicker if everyone follows these guidelines.
Requirements:
There are 2 different types of groups in this swap. Please see below for the requirements for each.
2 letters -- at sign up, select one or more letters per group.
Please use all capital letters.
Letters should measure 2 with a mat or shadow behind it.
Letters should be embellished at least once to fit the theme of the word.
Single elements -- at sign up, select one element per group from the list below. See individual elements for specific requirements.
For the World Showcase Santa group, please select and create a p/p santa for one of the WS countries. You may use either SCAL or the Cricut Paperdoll cart. Please make your santa's a min of 4" tall, embellish at least twice, and be creative.
Element list:
*Title = standard 8x2 topper (other sizes are okay), welded and shadowed letters, letters on squares, circles,mini tags or other shapes, a large title tag, title on a box, borders, photo mat, altered CD.
*2 photo mats for a 4x6 photo, 2 layers, smallest layer 4 ¼ x 6 ¼, embellished
*2 journal boxes, total of 3 layers, minimum writing space 3x3, embellished
*2 tags (or 1 large taggreater than 2x3), 2 layers, something in the hole and embellished
*1 paper piecing (not a single layer diecut, at least 4 inches or best judgment)
*1 file folder or matchbook (2 if smaller than 3x4) - -embellished
*2 slide mounts -- embellished
*2 Frames - needs to fit 4x6 photo please - Sizzix okay even though smaller
*Altered CD
*3 altered paper clips
*1 library pocket and tag. Tag must be 2 layers with something in the hole, pocket must be embellished and no smaller than 2x3
*1 license plate
*3 shapes(squares, circles, stars, flowers etc) 2 layers, embellished
*1 ATC embellished 3 ways
*4 inchies embellished 2 ways
*Signage/Bookmark: 1PP 2x6, double matted and embellished
*Song/Lyric/Poem: 1PP, 3 layers in total and embellished. Min size 3x4, shapes are welcome
*Altered letter: matted at least 4 inches embellished
*2 altered pins
*1 Banner: at least 8 long with ribbon or string, embellished
*1 Border: 12" long with 2 layers
**You may mix elements up too. Example: You could choose to do 1 photo mat and 1 journal box as 1 element choice. Another example would be one tag and one photo mat as an element choice. If you have any questions, please let me know!

Suggestions for embellishment include:
Die cuts, stickers, stickles, flock, ink, chalk, brads, charms, flowers, eyelets, ribbon/fiber, sewing, tearing, embossing, stamping, clipart, additional layers of paper beyond double mats (if it would look weird trying to fit in another embellishment, specialty paper (such as embossed, glitter, bling).
Finally have fun! Scrapping and swapping should be an escape from all the stress and pressure we have to deal with on a daily basis, not an addition to it. Please dont sign up for more than you can handle, and if questions or problems arise, let me know as soon as possible. We will work together to find a solution.
