"Extra" Extra Magic Hour for Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests at California Adventure through 8/30

I just got an email from Disneyland Destinations with a 40% off code for hotel stays from 8/20 through 8/30.
It is email and person specific for the discount but this information was in it:

Get TWO extra hours of magic!
Now through 8/30/17, Guests of a Disneyland® Resort Hotel can enjoy an "Extra" Extra Magic Hour on select days after Disney California Adventure® Park closes to ride the new Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! That's in addition to the Extra Magic Hour** early morning admission to a designated Theme Park each day of your stay!

(Separate Theme Park admission and valid Hotel key card required)

Has anyone done this yet? The extra hour after DCA closes?

I'm a little curious how this will work. What if the line of regular guests is an hour long at closing? Will they let hotel guests use the FP line?

We did EEMH last night.

Onsite hotel guests use the FP line.
At 10PM (DCA closing time), the standby line is closed to all guests. During EEMH (10PM-11PM), guests show their room keys to enter the line. The standby and FP lines merge together as usual.
Last night, the standby line was empty around 10:30. The FP line remained short, only partially filling the single switchback outside the building. Our final ride, we entered at 10:55 with no one in the FP line.
We rode 3 times during EEMH

After EEMH, guests must exit DCA through the front gates -- a little irritating, since our room is close to the GCH entrance to DCA
