Family style and kids under 3?

I notice that the family style meals, such as LTT and Garden Grill offer different items for children, and a price for ages 3 - ???? but how does this work if your child is under 3? I can't imagine that they would bring the kids foods but not charge. Will he have to eat from the adult selections?

Actually, at all you can eat places, kids under three aren't charged. And they do let them order from the kids menu.
