ATA: my ex got question about his Baushaus shirt at the MK once. The no bag line security stopped and asked him if it was a swear word. We laughed and said it was ok unless folks were offended by excellent design or music.

80s music is my favorite. I have too many to list, many of which have been mentioned.

DD10 belongs to a club at school called Culture Club. Every time I mention it I quietly sing “I’ll Tumble For You” in my head.

Like many here, I grew up in the 80's and listened to the radio nearly non-stop. So there are just endless things I really like. But some of my favorite bands?

Aerosmith - how can you limit yourself to just one song they did in the '80s? Could go anywhere from the remix of Walk This Way to Angel to Dude Looks Like a Lady. Hence my love of the RnR ride...if they ever changed the theme, I'd be in tears.

Guns n Roses - again, no way to limit to just one. The entire Appetite and Lies albums. Rocket Queen? Used to Love Her?

But I also ran the spectrum from Poison to Elton John to Beasty Boys to Floyd/Dead stuff to Michael Jackson...I got the red leather jacket for my 12th or 13th b-day and I still have it...

The early '80s were my club years. So my favorites are many who got played in the clubs from say 1980-1984.

A lot of the same bands as listed above, but different songs

U2 - Running to Stand Still
Depeche Mode - Blasphemous Rumours
OMD - Enola Gay
Duran Duran - New Religion
The Cure - The Lovecats
The Smiths - Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now
Thompson Twins - Nothing in Common
Howard Jones - Hide and Seek
Yaz - Nobody's Diary
Squeeze - Up the Junction
Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights

Agree with you on one hit wonders...but Dead or Alive did "You Spin Me". Soft Cell was best known for "Tainted Love"..one of my all time favorites!

Was Dead or Alive a one hit wonder with You Spin Me Round? Didn't their song Brand New Lover chart as well?

I liked many of the artists and songs listed above.

But no love for these 80's bands???

The Plasmatics (Wendy O. Williams)-Prisoners of the Damned
The Cramps-Goo Goo Muck
Flesh For Lulu-I Go Crazy
Lords of the New Church-Russian Roulette
Clan of Zymox-There's Something Wrong With You
Dead Can Dance-Enigma of the Absolute
