Feb 2020 use year

I am confused, I went to DVC and logged in to my membership portal It says I have 160 points for the 2020 use year. I tried to book a stay for January 2020 and the booking portal does not show my membership w/ the 2020 Feb use year being available. Does Feb 2020 use year begin on Feb 1, 2019 or Feb 1 2020?

For a Jan 2020 trip you would need to borrow Feb 2020 points as the Feb 2020 UY begins Feb 1. 2020.

It's like a fiscal year. Your 2019 UY starts on Feb 1, 2019 and ends on Jan 31, 2020.

So when you go to book a stay for Jan 28, 2020, you are booking a stay in your 2019 UY.

You should also be aware that traveling that late in your UY can be very risky, as you will likely be past your banking window if you need to cancel.
