Found out last Friday that Cedric has diabetes. I have been giving him insulin shots 2x a day since Saturday, and am on my way to Wal-mart after work to pick up the test strips for his glucose meter after work. He's taking the injections well, but I am thinking the vet will up his dose (currently 1 unit 2xs a day) as I am not seeing a big improvement (even with the food change). I am planning on doing a blood glucose curve on Thursday or Friday, but was wondering if anyone else here is in the same boat as me?
